It's a great steering wheel.
Yeah, I've been jealous of Mojave owners for a while. Just had to wait until wrecked units start showing up on eBay at reasonable prices to update mine.

I CAN NOT stand chrome, especially for interior trim, so I ended up painting mine satin black. I didn't realize the Mojave has a black trim piece.

Now I need to address the tiny little air bag trim piece. I received a sticker for it along with a sticker for the JEEP lettering. The lettering fit, but the ring didn't fit properly. I've got some satin black wrap left over from another project, so I'll try that one of these days.

I found a company yesterday that supposedly makes custom airbag covers. I was just searching up steering wheels after this subject got brought up. I seemed to have closed that tab to keep me from spending money. But options are out there.

New Mojave wheel swapped in. Had to disassemble both to swap the old cruise button in. Hardest part of the swap was the horn button plug, definitely a pain to release. The black is so much nicer than the old chrome. Best $158 spent.

That trim ring on my 23 Mojave is chrome. Sounds like it was switched on newer models.

Love it. Gets rid of the glare I get from the old trim.

I like that little bit of chrome myself. Just enough to dress things up. But not too much glare.
The chrome on the logo and the ring are enough for me. Looking at my wife's JLU, she also has black.

What Gladiator do you have? Mine is a Sport and I was happy that it came with the all black steering wheel. My friends Rubicon's had the shiny trim and I just didn't love it.

My SS Camaro has a small amount of painted silver in the steering wheel and I thought that was a nice compromise to the shiny bits.

I have a '20 Sport S. My wife's JLU is a '19.

Interesting. Did not realize a Sport ever came with the shiny bits on the wheel.
I factory ordered mine, so maybe that's why? Dunno.
