Not happy with it. Thinking on using rattle can bed liner over it to try and smooth it out some. Try on the back side of the skid plate first to see how it turns out.

I’m going to end up having to reframe my garage trusses and put in a lift one day, but I’m fine. Ish. I had a lot of sports injuries and I was in some really bad car accidents when I was young. Drs told me I’d feel it when I got older. They weren’t lying. lol. I’ve been in the gym a lot lately working on strengthening my core and it helps a lot. Losing a few lbs never hurt either.

Put the order in for my @Metalcloak 3.5” True Dual rate lift via a local supplier. Then used my $250 credit with MC to get LCA skids, spring sleeves and upgraded bump stops.

Shortly after placing the order, I received a call from Metal Cloak thanking me for my order and providing shipping updates. That kind of service means repeat business!

Got the front bumper back from Rhino. Had it and the skid plate coated. Don't have to worry about the powder coat getting chipped and rusting.

The difference between Rhino and LineX. Say Rhino is 36 grit and LineX is 600 grit. My bed lining is LineX. Wanted LineX, but the closest one was over 2.5 hrs away.

If you accidentally rub a bare leg on your bumper, you'll definitely be screaming one thing:

My nephew once said, "Did you just do an old man fart ??" "Nah, that was my afterburner booster rocket kicking on to assist in the upright. No worries." "Nice cover.". Then to further the ickiness, when you walk away, start pulling at your shorts and say, "Rut-roh, booster rocket may have had a leak.". That'll get them every time.

Since your in a dry place and got that axle out I would sand that frame and paint it with some VHT male it shine like a pretty penny.

My old CJ5 had that sprayed all over the interior. I left multiple layers of skin off my knuckles, every time I worked on it.
