After we got almost nothing but extreme 60 mph winds in last weekend's blizzard warning, decided that's that - took the snow plow off.
Also removed the 3 70 pound bags of sand from the back - won't need plow ballast until next winter. If it snows now, we just drive through it and tell people not to come down our driveway.
Had to use more duct tape on the sand bags - those spouts on the end never close up completely, and removed the wood frame I made last fall to keep the sand bag plow ballast from moving around. Vacuumed up residual stand.

If I get things so I can bend over and back up again without getting vertigo triggered, will remove the plow brackets from the side of the frame and put the summer skid plate back in place.

I’ve had sand bags empty like that. Maybe put them in a Home Depot Rubbermaid or something next year?

You have to completely remove the original orange wiring harness from the wheel and replace it with the new orange wiring harness that is in the kit. The paddle shifter levers are integrated into the pieces that have the radio buttons, you don't lose any functionality. There is at least one more pin on them, and the new wiring harness has the connectors and wiring to match.

I don't think there is any way that you could leave the wheel in place, undo the cover on the back side of the wheel and get clearance to remove the old harness and install the new one.

No, + for upshift is on the right / passenger side, - for downshift is on the left / driver side. It may be a standard? It was the same way in my old Audi A7.

Didn't do this for looks. When towing our camper on downhill grades in the mountains, transmission in manual mode, annoying having to take one hand off the steering wheel to downshift / upshift as required. Suppose it will be slightly safer as well.
Based on the amount of shifting you have to do when towing, your probably right! My hand never leaves the shifter when I'm towing my camper....

When I haul the cargo trailer I’m exactly the same. Hand on the shifter and eyes on the transmission temp.

Got my parking brake adjusted, the adjusters on the brake shoes and then the cable tension under the center console. Now able to hold it in place while in neutral, both uphill and downhill, on the posted 10% grade section on the next block over. I'm good with that.

I suspect that there was a meeting at some point where the decision to use a manual adjuster for the brake shoes instead of an automatic one was made based on how much money it would save. 🤬

How would automatic adjusters work on parking brake shoes?

I want to call out a local shop here in Tucson AZ for doing some great work. I had RCV axles, an Eaton ELocker, Falcon shocks, a Mopar Rubicon Front/Rear locker controller, and Dana 4.88 gears sitting in my garage that I had been purchasing during sales over the last 9 months, and finally decided to get it all installed.
I have had two epidurals in my spine and a bunch of physical therapy since January, so I decided to not undo all that work and called Dan Paris at Trail Boss Offroad. Dan is a very nice and knowledgeable person with decades of experience, and he has a crew of superb techs working on jeeps all day long, so I was very comfortable dropping the Mojave off with him, with all the parts locked under the tonneau cover.
My intent was to regear to 4.88 to gain some acceleration back on hills (I am running 35's right now but could go to 37's and an AMW Hemi or 392 install in the future). Since we were going to have the diffs open anyway, this was an opportunity to add the front locker, and a pair of RCV axles up front. I also wanted to be able to control the front locker with the Mopar Rubicon Control Module Switch like a couple of other forum members have done previously.
To make up for the weight of the armored RSE's, genesis dual batteries, diamond back HD tonneau cover, zeon warn winch and rubicon steel bumper, I wanted to get the Falcon's installed to better match the much heavier weight profile of this Mojave.
Ethan, an "out of the box thinker " per Dan, was the tech who got this job, and he had everything working right when he was done. I am very satisfied with the work, and I trust this shop to do very good work, as they have done for me in the past.
The 4.88's are giving me about 1.5 mpg better gas mileage and I can get into 8th gear and stay in it while steady state cruising. A new tazer was used so the truck recognized the front locker and also to get the shift points calibrated properly for the 4.88's, as well as to accurize the speedo/odo to within 1 mph at 60mph. Important to note that my 4 year old tazer was unable to allow the computers to recognize the front elocker, so that added some research time and phone calls before Ethan and Dan figured it out, and the new Tazer took care of it. I have attached just a couple of photos.

I got one with my 2025 Mohave X.
OK guys, I actually know the answer to this discussion. The bluetooth speaker is behind the passenger side back seat. The cubby hole the battery jumper was placed in is there for all the gladiators. I use mine for a lot of emergency gear. In the center is the built in Alpine speaker. This is how mine looks with both seats down---which is how I usually have it

As you can see the storage cubby hole behind the rear seat on the drivers side can hold a whole lot of gear.

On the drivers side opening behind the back seat I have: A fleece cap for cold days, a boonie hat for sunny days, a poncho liner in the green soft case, a rain jacket that scrunches up into one of it's own pockets, an EST Backpack, and an Orion Emergency kit.

There is also a handy map pocket back there also. The picture doesn't show the depth or the smaller cut out towards the driver's seat.

I love the BlueTooth speaker. Charges as you drive around and good for a full 2+ hours of pretty decent sound when you want it.

That’s the first time I’ve seen it shown like that. My poor persons area is just open from left to right. Or it was until I put a subwoofer and lots of gear back there. :)

How would automatic adjusters work on parking brake shoes?
Answer - they would not work like automatic adjusters on normal drum brakes. Those depend completely on applying the brakes while in reverse. And work best if you pump the brakes while in reverse. The rear shoe moves back and down, causing the cable to pull the lever up, then when you release the brakes, the lever pushes the notched wheel down, expanding the adjuster. If you never go backwards when applying the brakes, they will never adjust. It was a problem with drum brakes where people parked on the street and rarely ever backed out of a driveway - still had to manually adjust the brakes. Trust me - I did a lot of brake work where I worked in the 1970s and 80s. Unless you backed up applying the brakes, drum brake auto adjusters just didn't work.
Same for parking brake automatic adjusters - unless there's a different method, which could be done. But standard drum auto adjusters won't work on parking brakes.

So I went back and forth with what color to paint the tow hooks. I was too lazy and tired to take the orange tow hooks off my plastic bumper and TBH I have always thought Jeep goes overboard with accents. It's not like it needed more orange. Since I wanted to use Plastidip, they only had fluorescent orange or black. I chose black and glad I did because orange would have been all over the bumper from overspray. The Plastidip is easy to remove wet or dry. The Mojave already has plenty of orange inside and out.
