Installed MORE steps over bed sliders. Much easier to climb up when tailgate is down.

I haven't found the Wildpeak MTs that loud, and I'm really impressed with how they've handled everything I've thrown at them except ice. I'll likely put the ATs on, if I don't go back to Baja Boss ATs.I hated my factory optioned 33" wildpeak, too loud and annoying for a smaller tire. But id save and do it once and get 37s for sure.
Nice work. Having not done this, is there a good way to avoid a bunch of coolant spillage? I was thinking about extracting the fluid out of the reservoir with a hand transfer pump.Replaced my coolant reservoir and outlet hose. I think I found the source of the leak. Looks like a crack near the outlet nipple on the bottom. The new coolant reservoir looks so much better. Didn't realize how dirty the old one was.

Trying to figure out how to minimize spill took the longest time. If you're just replacing the bottle, the hand transfer pump works great- which is what I used. Just get the hose as far down as possible. You can use a turkey baster as well (no screen in the bottle). Once empty, just unbolt the bottle cage, lift it up, and unclip the hose at the bottom. Be careful not to lose the wire clip on the plastic fitting. If you're replacing the hose, the new one should come with the clip.Nice work. I haven’t unpacked it yet, but I’m replacing mine with the Mishimoto aluminum one. No idea if it comes with a hose. But glad the transfer pump worked. If it doesn’t come with a hose, I’ll just inspect and replace. If the hose looks terrible, I’ll order one first. Thanks for the links.Trying to figure out how to minimize spill took the longest time. If you're replacing the hose, it's a bit more tricky. Remove the bottle (above) first. Then, snake the bottle end of the hose out toward the radiator. I stuffed a wad of paper towel in the open end to keep coolant from dripping out. I used a hose clamp tool (link below) to wiggle the bottom hose clamp back. Then, I used a hose pinch to trap the fluid in the old hose. I snaked the new hose right next to the old one. It's easier to snake the bottle end in first since it needs to run parallel to other hoses (tighter space). Once I got everything in place, I twisted the old hose to get it loose. Then, in one quick motion, I pulled the old one off and slipped the new one on. I barely spilled coolant into a drip pan- barely a cup full. I was very lucky. The prep took way longer than the actual swap.

Yeah you should probably go ahead and do it.I really should do it soon. I towed a bunch last week and could smell coolant when it was working reasonably hard. Had to swap to cabin only recirculating mode.

I always make some, so will definitely share them. No pride here. It goes both ways though right? I’m very proud of everything I’ve done on this vehicle without paying someone. But I have no qualms about laughing about jacking something up and telling everyone. So no pride, except the good kind?Yeah you should probably go ahead and do it.
And do a good detailed thread on it so I can learn from your mistakes.![]()
Those are fun out in the desert too!! Lots of wildlife out there glows crazy under UV.As posted in another thread, UV light is very effective in finding coolant leaks.

Yes, plenty of bugs can be seen under UV lights! Those are fun out in the desert too!! Lots of wildlife out there glows crazy under UV.
Heck when I changed mine I just ripped all that crap out flung fluid everywhere and tossed it in the trash and stuck the new one on. Literally took me 3-5min. I guess.Yeah you should probably go ahead and do it.

Im assuming that’s about how it goes unless you want to be super clean from the get go. Not sure how crazy corrosive the Mopar fluids are though.Heck when I changed mine I just ripped all that crap out flung fluid everywhere and tossed it in the trash and stuck the new one on.
