Upgraded my center storage boxes from the plastic ones to these beefy metal ones. The actually hug the center trim panels real closely and aren’t in the way really. Seem to offer more storage space than the old “saddle bag” plastic trays did too.

Actually you remove the plastic cap on the side of the console and they screw in to the OEM bolt hole with the longer bolts that come in the box. See pics below.

They have a little silicone mat that goes in the bottom and came with rubber edging strips to put along the top edges to provide a smoother softer edge.

I was surprised at how heavy and solid they are, but installing them was a breeze.

Well next thing I'm doing to mine is sending back to the dealership........... Service manager told me NOT to drive it after the video I sent him. The valvetrain sounds like a type writer from idle to redline and now I have rod knock.

Back in March they replaced the cams, lifters and rockers on Bank 2 and now this. Once I get it back, I can sell it with a new motor and be done with it. I've already started moving parts from the JTM over to my wifes JLUR.

Next up is a new RAM RHO.. They now come with a 10yr/100k warranty and they're fast as fuck.

FWIW:

On my change I used LiquiMoly SpecialTec OW20, a bottle of their Ceratec engine treatment, a K&N oil filter and did the diffs with LM's 74W90 gear oil. I pulled a sample of engine oil for an initial test to Blackstone to see if I'm going to need to plan on activating my powertrain warranty or not. I also put in an oil plug valve because... well, I like them.

The motor has quieted down significantly. Similar effect I had when I went from Mobil 1 to Amsoil in a VW turbo years ago and from Pentosin to LM in my e46. Strongly recommend seeking out LM oil for the crankcase if you're getting some angry typewriter noises.

Nothing crazy, but reapplied my rubber grip tape for my dog for when we go through drive thru windows. So if your dog does this...

Wonder if that’s more comfortable than the oem trim for resting the arm on…… maybe they make it in a cushy version too.

Yes, it felt very secure once I’d bolted it in to place. And the 2 metal prongs stop it from rotating.

It is really thin. It just provides grip not comfort.

5mm rivnuts (stainless) and four 5mm stainless screws. Stainless washers act as spacers under the plate. It just clears my tonneau cover latches!

Installed my new custom seat covers! The materials are wilfire camouflage with diamond stitched charred wood inserts! Shout out to Covers and Camo! They even made more red line flags for the headrest as that is the theme of the Jeep!
