If you were a little easier on the skinny pedal, that wouldn't happen. My new rear driveshaft just showed up. This will be my third rear driveshaft.

First one was Oem. It’s still fine. Just too large in diameter. Good spare. Second one is Dana aftermarket 1350. Still fine-ish. It’s had some impacts. I’m not a gas pedal guy. I like slow and controlled. But it’s time to swap to pure 1350 and a better quality carrier bearing. I’m doing it now because I have a pinion leak and the yoke is coming off anyway. If you were a little easier on the skinny pedal, that wouldn't happen.![]()
My spreadsheet shows approximately 25k of stuff on it. It’s 2 years out of date. Screw it. You can’t take it with you.I used to have to keep a spreadsheet, but now the Shop app lets me know when I have any inbound shipments. Jeeps are like life-size Legos and the internet is like a huge box of Lego blocks that I cannot walk away from.
Keep going. My spreadsheet shows approximately 25k of stuff on it. It’s 2 years out of date. Screw it. You can’t take it with you.
I did the same. Bought a cj7 with two blown differentials for $2,500. Put 20k into it and sold it, like an idiot. But I agree. I’d be scared to take a cj7 on half the obstacles that are no big deal in these.Keep going.
I had more into my CJ5 than I paid initially for it. That doesn't count tires and general maintenance items. Swapped the V8 over to custom tuned EFI, custom dizzy, new transmission, axle shafts and countless other things. It was time for a new suspension again and frame work, so I bought our JLURD and sold the CJ5.
Kinda miss it at times, but the new Jeeps ride so much better and have way more room.
Thanks again! Mine arrived yesterday and I messed with them today. Very nice products. Couldn’t be happier. I ordered two of pretty much everything. No more leaks or fuel spray when venting!I have a really expensive fuel spout for my Rotopax fuel containers coming my way. The California legal spouts that come with the Rotopax containers should win the Rube Goldberg award for most over complicated fuel spout. Too bad you can't get any fuel to actually pour through those over complicated fuel spouts.

Mine showed up earlier this week. I'm impressed with the quality as well. Haven't had the chance to install it yet. Thanks again! Mine arrived yesterday and I messed with them today. I did sometime last year in this thread I think. But it’s a Billie Bar product. I genuinely could not be happier with it. It’s amazing. I’ll look for the post.Mine showed up earlier this week. I'm impressed with the quality as well. Haven't had the chance to install it yet.
You realize, of course, that you are now going to need to show us a picture of that bedside Rotopax mount without the Rotopax on it, along with a link to where it can be purchased.![]()
Found some pictures from the install in August. Super strong. I think it’s 1/4” steel. They bolt to trail rails. It won’t matter what brand.Mine showed up earlier this week. I'm impressed with the quality as well. Haven't had the chance to install it yet.
