2 different things. The FAD is in the axle between the differential and Right tire. When you select 4wd, a ring or collar is slit over joining the midshaft and right axle shaft making it turn as one.

The Rubicon model received a 4.1:1 transfer case as all of the others use a 2.72:1. The exception to this rule is the full time unit where there's a full time 4 wheel high offered in both Rubicon's and all others. There's been issues with this from what I've read.
There has been a couple of reports with the clutch pack overheating. Mostly with the 392's, and with big tires in soft sand.

Yes the "Mud Terrain" tires were an upcharge on my 2023 JT. Not worth the extra noise.

Glad I stumbled across this thread, I just came across the same thing looking on window stickers on the eshop. The window sticker for my custom order doesn't say anything about the FAD yet virtually every other Mojave window sticker I looked at has it listed.

Now I have to look again. I'm pretty sure I don't have locks but if I do, I'll come back and say so.
You definitely do. ALL JT's have them. Gives you at least a tiny bit of room to lock stuff up relatively securely even if you have a soft top.

Same here. Just saw this today. My 2023 JTM window sticker doesn't have it but the build sheet does.

As some posted, standard front axle with no lock and the disconnect means it isn't spinning in 2wd mode.
