There has been a couple of reports with the clutch pack overheating. Mostly with the 392's, and with big tires in soft sand.2 different things. The FAD is in the axle between the differential and Right tire. When you select 4wd, a ring or collar is slit over joining the midshaft and right axle shaft making it turn as one.
The Rubicon model received a 4.1:1 transfer case as all of the others use a 2.72:1. The exception to this rule is the full time unit where there's a full time 4 wheel high offered in both Rubicon's and all others. There's been issues with this from what I've read.
