Warm/hot, they seem to jump 4-5psi. The contact patch is just right for me
36psi cold. Gets up to about 38psi while driving.

You are not supposed to run Patagonias like other tires. If your contact patch is the width of the entire tire on pavement, you are running those Patagonias at too low of a tire pressure.

Patagonias are supposed to run on the crown of the tire on pavement to minimize wear and noise.

Yes, I remember watching someone on youtube referencing that

2020 Sport, max tow package, 410 gears, 2.5 Clayton overland premium lift, 35s Nitto Ridge Grapplers. 32 PSI cold. 17.5-18.5 MPG. I got it used. I dont know if tire sizes has been reset or not. When driving at 65 I have noticed iam in 8th gear 1300 rpm, some times 7 gear 1800 rpm. Same road same time of day. Is there any way to tell if it has been re calibrated? I have used a GPS on my phone and at 65 if about 2 miles per hour off.

I saw my worst mpg on my 2021 Overland yesterday. Hauling my Airstream Basecamp 20X from Galveston to Granbury, TX, I scored a solid 10mpg. Granted, I did see 75 on the speedo quite often. Tire pressure on truck was 38psi. 80psi on the trailer. No issues other then monsoon season in North Texas over the weekend.

Probably answered this months ago but, I'll chime in again.

Running around I get right around 20 (+/- 0.2) mpg. Straight highway I have seen as high as 27 (+/- 0.3) mpg.

Towing, 27' ~5,100 lb (with all the stuff we want to take with us) trailer, I average around 13 mpg.

All figures are calculated fill to fill. VIC shows pretty much the same.

I have a stone stock Overland that was built May/June 2019. Not a lick of trouble with her (knocks on wood...).

Set your trip meter to 0 miles.
Set a GPS to 0 miles
Drive about 20 miles and compare. They should be the same to the tenth of a mile.
If you are going by the dial speedometer on the truck - those usually indicate 1 to 2% higher than you are actually driving. The digital is more accurate.
The dial speedometer on mine says 62 when I'm driving right at 60 according to radar signs and my GPS and yet the digital speedo in the center of the cluster is much better.

Never count on a prior owner ever having done anything right - let alone bothering to check the odometer for accuracy (I never use the speedometer, just the odometer)

Mojave soon
Spent a week in a 2021 stock fully loaded Mojave last month. Got around 21mpg on the highways and backroads of Wisconsin.
About 17mpg in Chicago.

Sport S with Bridgestone Duelers & standard diff, 2500 miles mixed city and highway driving is running 23 to 24 mpg. Highway driving is 75 mph max; the brakes are outstanding for a truck , but the center of gravity is just too high for anything faster. The car gets better mileage, but with premium almost a buck a gallon more, the truck is cheaper to drive.

I have read through this thread and almost everyone else is getting about 2-3 mpgs better than my 23 Mojave with 35s. It has the 4.10s, so I was expecting a drop. The new Nokian 35s are 2 lbs heavier than the stock AT3w, so slight drop expected. But what is frustrating is that I am getting 15.5-15.7 (both computer and hand calculated). I have had the JT since 3k and now have 5.8k. Is it going to get better after break in? And I have been trying to drive like an old man to see how good I can get the mpgs and I am on mostly 50-65mph highways.

My daughter's JK get 20.5-21.0 consistently in the same area, Flathead Valley, MT. I haven't even gone into the mountains yet.

Besides tire weight - different tire treads and widths have different rolling resistances. Adding width matters, but also some tread designs simply resist rolling more than others.
Both of mine increased after a few miles - the first jumped after about 9K or so and this one was about 6 or 7K miles. When I say jumped, I don't mean a whole lot but it was roughly 1 mpg. I dropped over 1 mpg going from the stock Overland H/T tires to the General A/T tires I have now - width and of course very different tread. Weight about the same.

Make sure after changing tire sizes you go in and change it in the BCM - then double-check the odometer/speedometer with a GPS app or device. sometimes it takes changing and tweaking it a couple of times to get it right.
