Researching lifts, and have my eyes on 3.5" (perhaps Skyjacker) or possibly bigger. 6" would be great if my budget allows. I'm in FL, so no crazy rock crawling or anything like that. Realistically, 3.5" would probably be my choice.

Aside from the lift kit, what other factors should I consider in my budget? Front drive shaft? Axle supports, steering box supports, track bars, etc etc? I just want to make sure i'm fully prepared.

The JL/JT doesn’t follow the same rules as the JK. At 3.5, I see no need for any steering upgrades.
If your shocks are longer than 28” you will need a new driveshaft.

+3.5 on non Rubicon models, there's plenty available that will get there with no issues. If you're not going to crawl but want a great kit, the one I am currently on from Clayton is the basics you need to get the job done.

+3.5 on a Rubicon I think you're going to start getting into some other bits and pieces

If you just want to get taller, a number of kits get you there. In general, you will need a front driveshaft if your shocks are 28 inches or longer. And you will want that due to the droop these kits are capable of. It different than it used to be, we live in a world now about droop not height. A six inch lift would be very, very tall. Make sure your kit has track bars and make sure your stock drag link can reach - i think it does but i had mine replaced.

everything else kindof up to you. If you run 37’s or38’s, stock stuff should be plenty for a while if you dont bang it around a lot. But, there’s a lot you can do in terms of bracing and steering and whatnot if you want to.
