That is a nut with a keeper. There is a bolt on the other side holding something down.

Once the bolt is started the keeper will keep the nut from turning while tightening. Also gives you a handle to hold while you start the bolt into the nut.

They are all over the JT.

I believe it's a locator for disassembly/assembly of that particular nut or bolt...

Can someone tell me what these are for? On front DS & CS of Gladiator...they seem to be made of plasitc/poly and other than a T shape that's all I know...

Those are used when you need to feed a nut up into a close area and hold it in place while starting the bolt. They are used, for example, when bolting the DrawTite front receiver to the frame. The receiver kit comes with "handle nuts", some call them "popsicles" - there are other terms.
