ESS not working. Could be a number of things wrong. Hopefully just battery under charged.

Auto start/stop (ESS as mentioned above) is off.
Either you manually turned if off by mistake or more likely your battery is on the way out (as mentioned above).

That light doesn't turn on if Auto Stop/Start/ESS is just turned off.
That light is the warning light for when it's not working properly.

Ive seen this before in my Jeep for a few days then poof, dead battery.

Possibly it's the battery. That light could be caused by numerous other faults with ESS.
The point is, it does not illuminate when ESS is simply off.

Turn it off, all the way off, then turn it back on. If it goes away, no worries. If it stays on, you'll probably need a battery soon. Swing by the dealer when it is convenient.

Jeep is running fine and I made to my destination. Shut the Jeep off and now it’s gone....

Why?
Because I'm explaining exactly what that light actually is and pointing out that it doesn't mean ESS is off? Use the button in the center stack to turn off ESS and report back if that light turns on. Let's leave it at that.

Keep an eye on your battery/batteries. Could be a sign of possible failure. If it keeps happening have the entire ESS system checked.

Sense this was a quick question. This light doesn’t come on when auto start is off I have a tazor and it stays off. Never saw it before and I don’t like auto start so it’s been off 99% of the last year and a half!

For me, I get this light after installing the Genesis dual battery kit. It comes on after the 6th ESS. It’s a known issue and limitation of the kit. It resets itself when you shut the vehicle off.

The dreaded A with exclamation symbol came up again for the 2nd time on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The first time, under warranty, dealer replaced the small battery for the stop start. If not replaced it will drain the main battery. The 2nd time the small battery died, I was told that I should leave the stop start on every now and then. This will keep the smaller battery charged. I did not know that. I was told newer vehicles no longer have the small battery but the stop start works off a larger alternator.
