What octane gas do you guys run

For the record I just finished towing 6100 lbs 2200 miles with the JT from the east cost to Utah taking the 11000' peak I70 route and the biggest concern I had that whole time was Temps. All on 87, no pinging, and believe me I was listening for ANYTHING that could've been remotely construed as out of place climbing that grade. Also a mechanic for a day job since apparently that makes you smarter than the hundreds of engineers that design these things (as much as we want it to be true, guys it just ain't).

Did you watch the actual temp gauge? What were you running for temperatures while under load on the grades? These things can run hot without a lot of issue.

I was cycling between the coolant, oil, and trans temp displays in my vehicle info screen. Everything remained under halfway according to all the gauges.
Peak coolant temp I saw was 240, oil 250, and transmission 224.
I was getting a little uncomfortable with the coolant at 240 but like I said all the temp gauges themselves still displayed under half, which seems weird to me as oil breakdown starts at 275. Anyways reached those Temps right as we got to the 11000' crest and it cooled right off on the downs lope.

A 50/50 mix of coolant and water boils at somewhere around 225 ? Then even 14 psi pressure raises that another 45 degrees so you are not going to boil until at least 260-270 - perhaps higher as I'm just guesstimating.
Mine was running 230 at times and we were not towing.

I always use 93 in all of my vehicles.
