What recommended maintenance do you do at 30K?

My Diesel just hit over 30k miles, and I'm going to be taking it in for an oil change/tire rotation this week. Dealer is recommending the following things beyond that, including changing Engine and Cabin Air Filters (which I'll do on my own.)

Which of the following do you guys do at 30k, or hold off on? Thanks for your thoughts.

Changing the brake fluid.
Changing the Front and Rear Differential fluids.
Transfer Case Service.

3 years on the brake fluid is about when most would suggest considering to replace it. The other stuff is a bit early per the owners manual recommendations.

That being said, 30K is when I would do the differentials and transfer case. That is easy stuff that can be done on ground if you have the space to do it yourself. Plenty of videos on the Tubes showing how to do that with very basic hand tools.

Fuel filter. Do it yourself. The dealer will hose you on that.

At 30k miles I changed the engine oil & filter, fuel filter, air filter, fluid in both diffs, and rotated the tires. Level and condition checks of other fluids indicated to me they weren't in need of change yet, though there's no harm in doing so in your case if you desire or your vehicle use drives the need.

Agree with front and rear differential. Transfer case also. If you haven’t done it already, clean the EGR tube. Did mine at 25k and it was filthy. Used Greased Lightning and a bottle brush. I also drained and refilled my radiator. Brake fluid tested good, but I will probably replace it by 40k. My gladiator was built December 2023, so less than 2 years on the brake fluid.

What did your coolant test out to? I also have a 2023 JTRD

With test strips, it was slightly below 7. I bought a digital tester and it was about 6.8. After draining the radiator and refilling, it was 7.2. I didn’t flush or fully drain the coolant system.
