Smittybuilt is a little heavier steel. Probably same factory and Smittybuilt rolls out one door and Razer rolls out another.

The Chinese really don't care about patents and copyrights and such.

At this point, any mfg knows the risk of outsourcing to China. Heck, I just bought a Smittybilt winch made in China that probably has a clone somewhere, just like Warn makes winches in China.

Smittybilt is 3/16th sheetmetal while the Razer is 5/32 according to their cutsheets.

I would not mount a winch on that Amazon bumper. I would think the metal is way too thin.

3/16 = 6/32 for a difference of 1/32" (0.032") thickness, if both are accurate thicknesses. If 5/32" is way too thin, you won't be saved by going .032" thicker. Another consideration is the weight of a steel bumper plus winch. Might want to look into stiffer springs to hold the weight and to prevent "porpoising" on bumps. Dont exceed axle rating.

I think 3/16" is too thin. Most well made winch mounts are 1/4".
