I installed a tazer and now when I press the fog light button once I get the normal green fog indicator but when I press it again I get the new orange indicator?

Any idea what it means? There's no apparent light output change.

On older Jeeps, that is "Rear Fog Lights" on indicator. I have no clue what it means to you on your oil burner.

Well by golly, learn something new every day. Never seen the option offered but there ARE OEM rear fog lights.

Push the button twice and go look at your rear bumper.

Not positive but I believe it indicates rear fog lamps.

Oil burner = diesel.

There are rear fog lights, but we don't get them. I have them installed in my rear bumper and wired as brake/signal lights. If you search, there should be some threads on how to install them so they function as rear fog lights.

This is correct. Euro jeeps have rear fog lamps where the rear red reflectors are in the rear bumper. a few forum fellas have swapped them in to their US spec JTs and used the Tazer or other programmer to get them working.

Awesome thanks! I wonder if there's a mopar harness for the fogs thats plug and play. Maybe @jac04 knows
I don't know the answer to that. I know that the connectors at the fog lights are the same as the license plate lights, so I bought that harness to help with my installation. I think if you do some searching on these forums, you'll get more info on how to install them to function as actual fog lights. Mine just function as brake / signal lights.

Porsche rear fog lights just turn on the left rear brake light. At least that’s what they did in 2002, (last time I drove one)

On my VW TDI Golf, all I had to do was add a bulb, because the harness already had the plug. They were automatically actuated with the parking lights. So, when your lights came on in automatic mode or I’d manually switched on the parking lights they were on. I’d tie them into this portion of the wiring harness at each corner.

You don’t need the idiot light on the dash…not to mention yellow is irritating at night.

You should be able to turn off the feature on the Tazer to turn off the light.
