I‘ve finally burned through enough of my stock tires to make some changes. I’m planning on going with new wheels, 35s, and a 2” AEV spacer lift. I also purchased Mopar LCAs from the Mopar lift to correct caster.

Here is my conundrum. I don’t want a lot of tire poke. I also don’t want to limit myself in the future as I will most likely replace the spacers with a traditional lift in a year or two. If I buy new wheels with 5.2” - 5.75” BS am I eliminating most lifts from future possibility? For example, I know for a fact that Clayton doesn’t endorse more than 4.75” BS. What lifts work with more tucked wheels/tires?

FOR reference look at the specs on AEV Pintler wheels.. also Mopar offers wheels - check out the ones for Mojave.. I run, on the Mojave, 4.5" B/S with 35s and have about 1 tread block outside the fenders. No comment on your lift question.

Aev wheels would answer the mail on your desire to keep the wheels inside the fenders. I have the salta xr’s and the side wall just poke out a little and the tread is all under the fender.

clayton responded to me probably not with 5.2”. Another person said their Pintlers (37”) rub with 37s.
Stock Mopar arms have a bend to accommodate backspace, that’s why Mopar and AEV (who still utilize stock control arms) are ok with stock (6.2”) or AEV (5.7”) wheels.
Aftermarket arms, if you use them, give different answers depending on the brand and also which axle you have since max tow/rubicons are wider.

Thanks for the link! That is exactly what I wanted to see. I think 5.2” BS is where I will end up. I have some 4.5”BS Icons on order but that’s going to be too much poke for my taste.

Yea I don’t think I’d like the 4.5” as much?
