Need help! My truck has been in the service department for over 30 days now and jeep corporate is not returning my emails, neither is my service advisor. I’ve been nothing but patient and cordial with everyone but this is getting ridiculous. Has anyone out there had a lemon law case, and if so, how long did the process take to close out?

Have you sent a demand letter to Chrysler yet? You are better off talking to a Lemon Law attorney. Internet is never the best place for legal advice.

Go over the service advisor's head and talk to the service manager.

Is there a STAR case opened on your issue?

The Lemon Law expert would be a local attorney. Lemon Laws vary by state. The process can take months to complete. Continue the patient waiting with the dealer and consult with an attorney on what to do.

About 10 years back my wife dealt directly with Volkswagen and was able to have her Tiguan replaced with a higher value model, and she selected all the options she wanted. Essentially she walked away with an upgraded vehicle with zero miles. That’s why I’m wondering if anyone has personally gone through the lemon law process with jeep and what the outcome was

I did with Dodge a few years back. Multiple engagements on the same issue. Went in to personally talk to the Service Manager and told him I was done. He called corporate and within a couple days I got a call back and started arrangements without going through Arbitration. Worked out good for me at the end.
It depends on why the truck has been there so long. Is it because they cant fix it? Or are parts on backorder. If the latter then you may be SOL.

Call a local lemon law lawyer as It’s relatively easy for them. They will tell you whether or not you have a case, and a good one will tell you how to make a bulletproof case. Be patient with it, the process is kind of excruciating.

I see some folks are mentioning talking to the service manager, that is an option, yet, if you are done with the car and feel like it is a lemon, then the dealership making promises and pushing this off, could potentially impact your case.

I went through it in 2013 on our 2013 grand Cherokee. Seemed like a pretty smooth process. The dealership made the decision to start the process in our case and we needed no lawyer. They bought it back at full price and heavily discounted our replacement vehicle we bought from them a 2013 BMW. They also kept us in a rental for well over a month until the whole process was finished . The Grand Cherokee had less than 3000 miles on it when the engine went out in it. I've heard different stories on how it can and can't go. Some similar to our experience and some horror stories. I'd say check your state laws on what options you have. We didn't really because our dealership was a dream to deal with and was more than willing to buy it back and make things right

I lemon-lawed my wife's Subaru last year. Did not need an attorney, but it was hard to argue that 3 trans failures in 50k miles was "within norm." Collect all the service records and notes, then file a claim with the Corporate office. Mine took 60 days.

It's going to vary with situation and with the state. There's no "this is how it worked for me, it will work for you, too". Doesn't work that way, laws never do.
Your situation is unique.

https://www.dca.ca.gov/acp/pdf_files/lemonlaw_qa.pdf

ONLY go by what your own state government says - other sites too often do not keep current.
I've found the "one site covers all states" sites can be behind in current laws for some states.

https://oag.ca.gov/consumers/general/cars

Look up California Lemon Law for example, and go ONLY by what your own state publishes. It will be current and factual.

Go into the dealership and get all records. Ask service manager if they have a buy back process in situations that go like this. If response is no, ask for the General Manager and ask same question. Stay super polite and calm of course to play the friendly game.

Had a situation like this with my 2020 ZR2 diesel, the moment I asked the General Manager and head finance officer at the dealer they said sounds like you've don your homework and we appreciate your patience. I was fully raging inside!!!!! They promptly started the process for me.

That said as indicated above is the real deal. Best of luck OP!!!!!

Bingo, especially on the latter parts. Go in all defensive and upset, they'll quickly respond in kind.

IMO, lemon laws are for when nice and diplomatic fail. Try the easy stuff first. Never right off the bat threaten lawyer.

If jeep corp Isn't returning you calls tine for a lemon law attorney..

Ford did a buy back on my f-150 that was in and out of the shop constantly for an oil leak. Luckily the person at Ford was super helpful and I didn't need a lawyer. It took about 30 days to complete the buyback
