I use my iPhone for internet access and connect my iPad to it sometimes when I feel like seeing larger pics or more info. Other than that I connect my wife’s Surface Pro thru my phone as well.
With that info given, what would be the best programmer to get? Seems most need connected to a computer to update/load/download.

I use JScan and sometimes Taser. JScan is an app that contacts to your Jeep OBD2 with a bluetooth enabled dongle. Pretty easy to use and not very expensive.

So, it will work directly thru my iPhone?

Yes, you can download their app and it will allow you to do a demo mode to give you an idea of what types of changes it will make. You will also need a set of bypass cables and the obd2 bluetooth adapter.

If you have your Taser hooked up you can actually plug directly into OBD2 and not worry about the bypass cable.

But do you need a computer to program the Taser?

The OBD jscan doesn't list the Gladiator, only the Wrangler.

You do need a computer for updating the tazer it is already programmed and you make changes scrolling through a menu while attached to vehicle.

Wasn't aware of that, any advantages to both?

Each has their own strengths. It's just nice to be able to not mess with switching out what's plugged into the SGW if I want to use JScan to poke around.

AlfaOBD is very similar in function to JScan, with a different user interface. If you have more than one Jeep or FCA vehicle you want to use it with, AlfaOBD is a better deal, as you don’t need to license individual vehicles.
