Due to low miles driven, I have pay per mile insurance on my Gladiator and other vehicles. This requires a device in the OBD port, which can only be removed temporarily. Is there a full featured programmer that can be installed temporarily where the new settings remain after it has been removed?

Doesn't the Tazer connect to the security module, not OBDII? You control it through the dash and your steering wheel controls but it lets you do alot. Also Jscan with a bluetooth OBDII also can make changes that stick, but not everything can be changed this way. Tazer does about the most you can do.

There's aftermarket harnesses that bypasses the security of your obd 2 port and allows you to plug in additional obd 2 type devices. With it you can plug in a Bluetooth and change settings with something like Jscan, your little nanny tattle tale obd 2 insurance bull shit device should work uninterrupted. I don't know for sure so do some research, I don't have that monitor my ass crap and never will. Good Luck! Hope this was helpful

None of your business.
Not any that I am acquainted with.

The insurance company dongle is a privacy-trade I think you should thoughtfully reconsider. With government and government mandated compulsory "service" sectors, the money is always secondary to the power.

Jscan will do what you want. Get the ZAutomotive extension cable ($30) for the Security Gateway and it makes it much easier.
