The Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's that came on my Rubi are a nice tire for both highway and mild off road. $289 each at Discount Tire.
I use them as winter tires.

I got 60K miles out of a set of 315 KO2's on my JL, put a brand new set on in their place. Never had a problem with BFG.

I suggest looking for take-off Rubicon/Mojave tires. Also consider the Kumho AT52 which is usually less expensive and is 3 peak snowflake rated. If you want Falkens, I preferred the 255-80-17 to the Rubi size--slightly taller, narrower,10 lb each lighter but also E rated.

I’ve been running “37 Geolandar x at for a while now. Really like them so far. Even wear and not noisy.

I have had KO2's and liked them but for the price, the Falken's are right up there on my list when I need new tires.
I’m with you. I have Falken AT3 on both my jeeps in size 31 and 34. Affordable and they wear better than my dads jk with the KO2s.

Perfectly fine for going 85 on the highway 5 days a week! They're quiet and great off road and in wet conditions.

One of the best tires for on road driving with off-road needs.

I put these on the JT the day after I brought it home, don't have many miles on them yet but they feel a lot better than the stock 20" tires.

I have to replace the tires on my Sport S. I currently have Rubi takeoffs with BFG KO2s. I am going to stick with the 285/70R17s. In my price range I have narrowed it down to the tires below and was interested in anyone's opinion. I do light off roading and the Gladiator is my daily driver. I live in the country, so commute to work is on the highway, but around town are back roads.

General Grabber A/TX $307
Goodyear DuraTrac $332
Yokohama Geolander X-AT $296
BFG KO2 AT $318
prices are per tire, just for the tire

I am leaning toward the Goodyear and General because if the rebates. The Yokohama's are the cheapest, but I've never had those tires and aren't sure about them. The KO2s are the most expensive and seem to be the "worst" for highway driving.

AND before anyone says anything, I have to be money wise with the tires because my wife's wrangler needs new tires this spring. 9 Big Ass Tires in 6 months takes a hit on the budget. Yeah I know, bad timing on my part.

Thanks for the input.

Good year was the lightest i could find and dependable. Might help with mileage too... i live 2 hours from work and my town driving is dirt and gravel roads too.

I have and LOVE the Goodyear Duratrac tires. First purchased a set of Nitto Trail Grabbers, way too loud and felt like the front tires were really low on air coming to a stop (really grabby & Grumbly). People complained about the tire noise drownding out my voice when on the speaker-phone! Sold them after 3 weeks and purchased the Goodyears. All I can say is what a difference!!!! Highly recommend them!
