Greetings,
So I found some of the rubicon textured flares for my gladiator.
I saw a thread on here before that the guy used the black spray on raptor liner and it turned out looking great.
I like the look of the painted flares I currently have and was thinking about using the white raptor liner on the textured rubi flares. Just seeing if anyone has used the white Raptorliner and how did it turn out.

I've been to the body shops around here and they say it absolutely impossible to prep and paint the textured flares.

This question has been raised before and the consensus by the substantial knowledge base is the same as your local body shops. While not impossible the textured flares would need to be smoothed, filled, and primed to be able to do this. There is a relatively recent thread about this.

That was no the question.
I am going to sand down prep and all that, but instead of using black raptor liner, I was wanting to use the white. I was seeing if anyone has used the white spray on and how it comes out rather than black... See the screen shots.

I’ve done this on my last rig’s grill. Albeit, in black. I can’t see why it wouldn’t turn out okay as long as you take your time and aren’t stingy with the primer, don’t cheap out on the primer.

My bad. I misunderstood the question.

No worries.
One of the body shops here said it could be done easy, just their shop policies wouldn't allow them to sand it down and prep it tho.
So I'm contemplating the sand down and go raptor liner in white, or just saying f it and just put the blacks on

My caution to you before you jump off the cliff is this.
Have you ever seen white spray in bedliners after they have been exposed to weather & the UV from the sun? Sooner or later, most end up looking more piss yellow than white.
Just a thought.

I haven't seen any, that's one reason I wanted to ask.

I have done a lot of projects with Raptor liner from beds to flares and a couple of complete full body sprays. Buy a tintable kit and go to a bodyshop and get the color match paint to match your color code. Prep is everything. I have never had any failures or fading on plastic or metal.

Just wanted you to be aware of the high probability of yellowing before you took the leap.
It's pretty much a one way street, & once the flares are sprayed with the liner, it's not something that will be easily "undone".
I highly doubt that any spray in liner material packaged in a rattle can will have any sort or UV inhibitor in the formula that will prevent or even minimize yellowing over time.

White is not like Black. Lets forget about what it will look like down the line and think of what it will look like as soon as you are done.
Black is the only color that doesn't have to be matched, black is black - except for those black Chryslers in the 80s, they weren't true black and had to be color matched.
White can have a blueish undertone or a yellowish undertone, etc. so if you use a white out of a spay can, odds are it won't match. Easy test, do a test panel with the Raptor Coat white and see how it looks next to the truck. Being a couple shades off looks really bad...
As Toytech01 said, you can get the tintable Rapter Coat and get the bodyshop to match your white paint and go that route.
Assuming you get the white to match by whatever method, then you have to consider what they will look like after getting dirty and being exposed to UV rays, a whole nother discussion if you get past the color matching part.
One question is why are you considering the Raptor Coat way? Meaning, are you trying ro save money and trying get body matched fenders or do you just want to protect the fenders more or etc .. A little more insite on why you are doing it might tailor the responses to what you are actually trying to achieve.
The cost of the Rubicon flares you can get (I am assuming used) plus the cost of all the Raptor Coat and paint supplies might be pretty substantial. And if the reason you are looking to do this is because you want body colored Rubicon flares, there may be other alternatives. I bought brand new Color matched painted OEM Rubicon flares for my wife's JLU delivered to my door for around $1200, they also came with LED turn signals installed on them, I bought them from Rev Moto.
Just food for thought, it all depends on why and what you are trying to achieve... Hope that helps.

I get what you're saying. I had seen the post before (screenshots in this post) of the guy that used the black raptor liner for his fender flares.
I picked up a set of Rubicon flares for almost nothing, they are the textured.
I have the smooth painted on my overland currently and kinda like the look of painted flares.

I think I'm just gonna say f it and throw them on as is. Of I don't like it, I'll just have to get some of the metal cloaks and have them powder coated to match.

You could also check the price of color Matched LineX, it has UV protectant in their better line. I like the High line (Rubicon) fenders better than the sport ones. My wife's JLU High-Tide came with the black textured High line fenders. But like you, I prefer color matched fenders. I was going to go the painful route of sanding them down and doing epoxy primer and color match painting them, I was dreading doing it. That is when I found the OEM High line fenderby Rev moto, I couldn't order them fast enough with the relief that I wasn't going to have to do all that sanding!!!

Update - I was told by ReveMoto what I emailed and called in that these were Rubicon High Rise Fenders, I just check them, THEY ARE NOT

I think that is the best course of action. Like previously mentioned, colored bed liner jobs, especially the lighter ones, tend to look like ass after awhile. Dirt, grime and oils that seep into the pours become a pain to clean and remove.

I updated my previous post with the link. Before I bought the fenders in the link in that post, I called, emailed and texted ReveMoto to confirm that these fenders were in fact the Rubicon High Rise fenders with Led turn signals, they said they had to check and would get back to me. They checked and got back to me confirming they were in fact the Rubicon High Rise Fenders. So I bought them. 2 weeks after I bought them, they start sending me multiple emails asking for my vin number to confirm these are the right fenders. I got on the phone with them to explain these are an UPGRADE over sport fenders and my vin would give them the wrong part number because it is a sport and that I am buying them to upgrade.
A member on here was asking me where to get them because he wanted to buy then for his sport, so I went on the site to get him the link. It was them that I discovered they had a different set on there, that I don't think was on there when I ordered mine. With the same description but double the price. I emailed ReveMoto about it and they sent me pictures of the two. I just got how from vacation and checked the ones they sent me - they are not the Rubicon High Rise fenders they told me they were, they are in fact low rise Sport fenders.
I emailed them to see if they are going to fix THEIR mistake, because they confirmed that these were different fenders than they sent me. We will see if they do the right thing or not.
I will start another thread on this, but I wanted to put an update here in case anyone read my previous post and copied the link for a future buy.
