Lets just say that after towing our cargo/camper trailer this weekend, I’m not impressed with my JT. Granted, the trip to Ocotillo wells has its fair share of grade climbs, I never really saw 8th gear and barely hit 7th.
So where do I go for regearing? Is this an AAMCO (transmission place) job? do I go the the Stealership?
I little bit about my setup. The Jeep is a sport S without Max Tow But with the tow package. It has 3.73 (I think) gears. Slightly taller tires from stock. Trailer is a 6x12 converted off road cargo trailer. Max 3500lbs. I was probably at 2900-3000lbs loaded. The trailer has the extra height.
How do I go about this?
