I still don’t understand the fascination of a bobbed bed. People complain about a 5ft bed not being enough then turn it into a 3ft bed 🤔 also the Wrangler exists if you don’t want the overhang, idk that’s just my opinion though
Bobbed beds are more for rock crawling & offroading - and yes, less overhang.

Back in my older offroading days… Everyone was trying to get their hands on the 85’ Toyota pickups because they had the solid front axle along with some other stuff that wasn’t available in earlier years (can’t remember). I knew a couple guys who built them up with bobbed the beds (flatbeds). They were sweet…. especially the little Reg cab trucks… big lifts, big tires, no overhang in the front and no overhang in the rear. The bed was only used to hold the spare tire and a toolbox or two.

I saw that too and figured there was a catch. My JTRD had a sticker of 61k. There's a local Dodge dealer near me that has a side deal with some off-road shop, all of the Rams and Jeeps on their lot have at least another 8-10k of Black Widow gear on them. It's mostly tacky mall crawler stuff, not my taste. The guys in the service shop like when I bring mine in, it was the first diesel gladdy they'd seen. They let me do burn outs in the parking lot.

Did you know that with an unlimited amount of money you can basically order anything at a dealership from the factory?

I bet the "starting at $79k" is the cab and frame portion of the build. Engine, trans, and bed are the options that need to be added before it totals out to $145k.

But you can FINANCE!!!

Most people don't know what you can order because 1) they don't think to ask and 2) don't have money. When you buy custom Audis, for example, you can have it painted in almost any color that is offered by the VAG family of companies.
Porsche has their paint to sample program.

MasterCraft will sell you a $500k wakeboard boat in any colors you want.

4 foot bed is infinitely more useful than a wranglers no foot bed and gladiators just look light years better than the wrangler? The factory bobbed beds on the concepts are like 4.5 feet and just look really great proportion wise.

Starting at $79k is doable. That would be the very illusive bare bones stripped down Sport model with the cheapest 5.7 swapped. No extras, no nothing, just plain Jane simpleton.

$37,800 MSRP in white without hard top, totally stripped with 0 options.
Add to that the engine and all of the work to do the conversion, moving all of the things in the engine bay that must be moved to accommodate a V8 (it's not just an engine drop in), cross member, mount changes ad so on.
Then all of the body work to bob the bed? That's hours of work - not an afternoon's worth

So yeah, maybe, but that is still extremely deceiving and if you question it at all, you don't get clear answers, you get pushback. They don't give much detail at all.

In the end, you still have a very restricted, stripped vehicle, just with a V8 and bobbed bed.

I'm betting the $79 doesn't include the bobbed bed.
Rewatched the video and when she states the "starting at $79k" she only mentions the hemi and doesn't mention the bobbed bed.

Yeah, I can't imagine that much work for that cheap - even the hemi is a stretch in a way.
A couple people appear too have challenged "litebrite" and got some pushback instead of answers.
Seemed unwilling to answer legit questions. (like how dare you challenge!)
I've not really been impressed - I tend to shy away from their "stuff".
They are a couple - but the fact that she is the video person suggests a lot to me. People are more likely to click and watch, regardless of the solidity of the content due to her appearance.

As far as the price goes, AMW's site shows starting price of $32k. I was originally thinking it was closer to $40k.
Jeep Gladiator Who Gnu? Screenshot_20250914_153853_Chrom

$38k for Jeep, $32k for hemi swap, $5300 for bed leaves $3700 for labor towards bed bob labor. Maybe AMW is getting a better deal on parts. Not sure if you'd get any credit for 3.6 or any other take off parts.
So, maybe the $79k is doable, maybe not. But I'd still guess that's without a bed bob.

Not sure about any of the other stuff. I stopped watching their content along time ago.

I’m ok with that starting price.
