I just came back from a trip from Alberta to BC and then back, through the Rockies.
2021 Rubicon, 2” lift and 37’s. Not too bad all things considered.

If love to know how. Sincerely. If I send you a on with my number, are you open to discussing how our ‘21 rubicon bicoastal are different?

Altitude is your best friend. Driving around Jackson in the cold I was approaching 19mpg. Yellowstone 18mpg.

Driving around home: 15.5-16mpg.

Yes, I could probably bump it up if I didn't exceed 65mph.

I'm always amazed by how high people get on their mpg. I'm a solid 13.5mpg and that's with me paying attention to the mpg meter. On on 2.5" lift and 37s.

Me too. 13’s and 14’s on average, with terrible single digits when going up mountains.

You answered your own wondering......

LOL - flat, that's funny. Ask those who have done RAGBRAI how flat it is......
We are well out of the top 15 flattest states.
My JT has to drop to 5th or 6th quite often to keep speed limit speeds up on our roads.

Outsiders first talk of the hills and trees. A guy from Texas went on about how many trees our towns have and the up and down hills.
Not mountains, we don't have the 2 mile long grades of mountains, can't claim mountains, or can we? There are 20-some named peaks here, the highest is over 1,600 feet, but...........

Hard to tell from photos - the altimeter in the truck does a better job. In one area we go from over 900 feet to under 800 in a quarter mile or so. I'll have to drive that stretch again and see what the exact numbers are.

Our own property has a drop of a good 20 feet from one side to the other.

I can't leave home without some big change in elevations before I get a mile away. That house is just across the road, and maybe 300 feet or so eat yet they would be looking over the tops of some of our trees from their deck.

Heh. Our town is about 20' elevation, we're on a hill at about 200', and across the valley is a 1400'+ peak. I'm in the foothills of the Cascades. I'm uphill both ways. lol.

I'm not joking when I say to leave our property, you have to go up quite a few feet while walking or driving. My wife likes to take evening walks and is constantly complaining there isn't anyplace within several miles where you can walk without having to go up steep hills.

Thankfully the town where I grew up was pretty flat, river bottom area, Raccoon river valley, and I could see the HS from our house and I bet the elevation changed a whopping 2 feet from home to school or I'd be telling of walking to school......... well, you know the rest.

14-15 mpg here. Sometimes I get lucky to go down hill or get the wind to my back and I can get a smidge higher… I’m gonna have to regear soon lol
That reminds me of coasting in neutral with a manual when I was a kid almost out of gas!!! Made it home :)

I've got you beat by a landslide.

My outside temp gauge read 102F on the way home yesterday.
I will see what I can get this week. We are supposed to hit 105

It was about 88 when I first went outside today at 8:30 (with humidity to match). Can't wait to see how the rest of the day and week goes............. actually, yes I can.

2022 JTM with 33's and stock Mojave lift. 1,100 flat elevation. Thrilled with my MPG (and I don't baby the throttle). Expected much worse!
