I was getting just above 20 on my Overland with stock tires for the first 1,500 miles. After swapping to 33s and using the JScan to adjust the speedo I'm averaging more like 18.5 per the DIC on the dash. Still better than any other Jeep I've ever owned, but worst than my Silverado Ecotec 5.3 which averaged 21 city 24 hwy. It of course used Active Fuel Management (AFM)as GM called it, or Multiple Displacement System (MDS) as FCA calls it on the Hemis. Pros and cons to that system, but it was pretty good MPG for a V8 compared to our V6s.

I’m getting around 18 in my Mojave overall. I have around 1500 miles on so far. I can get around 20 highway if I keep it under 70, but around 80 it drops down to around 17.

I am at 1300 miles.

Averaged 17 on the way home from Gupton in TN to mid-Michigan. Kept overall speed low and babied the engine for those 500 miles, shifting up and down to vary the engine speed, etc. Also, I do not have a bed cover yet.

The next 800 I was driving, uh, Michigan speeds for most of it and towed a light jet-ski for some of it and I am at 15 mpg average.

Once I get a bed cover and drive a bit more, I expect it will get better. My 2016 JKU averages 18 under similar conditions and route.

I'm barely getting 17mph combined in my stock Mojave with the automatic.
Have just over 2500 miles on mine and I have seen 17.8 but usually low 17s. And I will also state the girlfriend likes to point out to everyone that I drive like old people on Sundays who have no where to be. :)

I would agree that the on-screen information is suspect at best. Either do it by hand, or use an app like Fuelly to calculate your mileage, if you're interested in real world mileage.

I have over 5k miles on mine and averaging in the 16-17 range overall. I don't have a bed cover yet, but planning to get one real soon. I am hoping for an improvement once I get that in place.

I have reset my trips several times to see what the MPG is like in different scenarios. Hwy driving only I can range anywhere from 18 MPG - 22 MPG (highest). mostly around 19 is what I see. Driving around town with the tops and doors off I got it down to 12 MPG ?, but mostly I am around the 15-16 MPG mark (with tops and doors on). All stock except except the line-x spray in bedliner.

I go back and forth between driving like a grandma, really babying the throttle and watching the MPG gage, and just driving normal. Driving normal I define as driving over 70 mph on the highway and throttling a lot.

my 2 cents for what it's worth.

I would encourage everyone here to do hand calcs. What seems to be happening, based on watching the gas tank, is that it's more trying to figure out the amount of gas in the tank and use that to calculate mpgs. Four tanks in so far and I've seen the fuel level drop quickly, smoothly, and the latest it's dropped very slowly for the first half tank. All driving the same way, weekday driving to work, etc. Right now it's telling me I've got ~200 miles left with half a tank and I expect that to drop really quickly based on previous hand calcs.

What is this "mileage" or "MPG" thing of which you're speaking of? I've owned several Jeeps now and I'm not familiar with it...
I certainly didn’t buy my JT for the gas mileage, but it’s the most efficient vehicle I’ve had in recent years (2020 Ram 2500, 2016 JKURHR, 2012 JKUR), and every dollar I don’t spend on gas is another dollar I get to spend on mods and other toys.

I'm just over 1100 miles and barely break 17 mpg. I think it's hilarious my 392 T/A is my economy car...
