We have a “family car plan”...a pickup and a sedan. Time to buy a new truck, and also wanted something to tow 4 down behind our Class A motorhome. Enter the Gladiator. It’s a win-win for us. Just had the Blue Ox tow bar installed, along with the light wiring and supplemental braking system. So easy to set up and break down, love it.

I love my Jeep but need a truck bed or trailer too. I don't want to have two vehicles and the cost associated with them and don't have room for a trailer either so having one vehicle that satisfies my Love for my Jeep and lets me haul things is a win/win.

Just wanted one. Already have a JKUR and an F150...so there wasn't a need for it. But there was no way I wasn't getting one.

Was responsible in my 20's and bought a camry that I've put 200K miles on. Havent had a car payment in 13 years. Old pickup died 2 years ago and I've always wanted a jeep. Waited for the gladiator to come out for 3 years now and am almost there. Should have my new truck in a couple weeks. So fn pumped.

Was in the market for a truck/daily, and found how ridiculous trucks seam to be holding value and started looking at gladiators. After borrowing my dad's Jeep's a few times I always wanted one, but never justified it, long story short, test drove one to confirm and made a deal.

Traded in a 17 Focus RS that was a ton of fun, but it's lack of ground clearance was pretty brutal during the winter. Still have a Subaru STI on jack stands in the garage I'll eventually finish again for a fun in a different way vehicle to compliment the Gladiator.

I am replacing a '16 Tacoma that we had. It got in a wreck and cannot be replaced because Toyota doesn't make the engine/transmission combination anymore. Wife got a JK afterwards we thought was the coolest thing in the world. You just feel like Indiana Jones in a Wrangler. We've been truckless for over a year because I knew the JT was coming so we waited for it. Should be getting ours this weekend.

Saying, "I just needed a pickup so I picked this one" is accurate but needs an explanation.

I love vehicles of all types. I had a lease on a Scion FR-S sport cars coming off lease in July. I loved that car and I was driving my second one. Nearly perfect commuter car. Small, kinda fast and got good gas mileage. Then I retired and stopped commuting.

So around February, I started thinking about my next vehicle. I'd gotten the off-road bug taking road trips in rented vehicles. I thought about building a 1990's XJ. But, I like driving way more than wrenching these days. I considered a Wrangler but we already have a SUV, my wife's 2016 Ford Escape. I took the Escape on a gravel road one time and she almost started crying because it was so dirty. So no adventuring in the Escape.

So, I decided that a 4x4 mid-sized pickup would perfect. Either the Tacoma or the Ford Ranger. I drove them both. I liked the Ranger a bit more, but neither excited me.

Then, I saw the Gladiator and I knew that was the one. A pickup with all the off-road capability of the Wranger. (Yes, the Gladiator is longer with less break over angle, etc.)

So, yes, I needed a truck and I picked this one. After three days of serious wheeling in Southern Idaho this week, I know I made the right choice.

I’ve had 10 Jeeps (xjs, yjs and tjs)

I had a 2018 ram 1500 with 11k miles that was perfectly fine and I really liked it. But I told myself in 2005 (when I graduated high school), when Jeep makes a pick up truck, I’m getting it. I just kept that promise to myself.

Haven't bought one yet, but as soon as the Gator color is avaiable I'll be pulling the trigger. I love my 18 Wrangler JLU and will be keeping it. As a Home builder I'm always hauling things to different job sites. The Wrangler does the job some times, but I think the Gladiator will do the job all the time. I also think it will look great sitting in the garage next to my JLU.

1. I can do all of the same things that I can do with my Ram 1500 (Which I d0)
2. Me and my wife would have a second jeep to modify
3. Topless and doorless!
4. Checked all of the boxes for us

I could go on with more reasons, but I don't need to! It fits!

Had a mustang convertible for summer and a Dodge Ram. Both are around 120,000 miles. I plan on moving out of state in the next year and being able to combine a convertible and a truck (less insurance and less of a moving headache) was appealing.

And a new car with 0 miles was a big deciding factor.
