Longer answer: I had a TJ in the 90’s, traded it for Nissan Titan, waited for years, and waited for desert rated version, and here I am with JTM.

I wanted a new truck and when I seen the jeep Gladiator I instantly fell in love with it so waited till they were out and bought one. I think they look bad ass when lifted with some big old fat tires on it

I've been building and driving FSJs (Full-sized Jeeps; Wagons and J-Trucks) since 1978, but always thought I'd like a roadster. When the Gladiator came out...I knew I'd found my perfect mid-life crisis vehicle! And the current Rubicons are more capable out of the box than the uber-modified vehicles we were building back in the day.

I never thought twice about Jeeps in particular. Always liked pick up trucks. Then I saw this lifted black Rubicon JT with 37" mud tires, lights all over and a big winch. The licence plate read "KRAKEN". I said to my wife "What the hell is that?" She said " It says Gladiator". Coolest looking pick up truck I ever saw. I knew then, one of them will be my next truck. Less than 6 months later and a smoking hot great deal as a trade in for my Colorado, I got my JTR. Wish I could have the "KRAKEN" as a vanity plate. It fits.

After selling a 2 door Jeep, and having a truck prior to that, I wanted a truck again and the wife wanted another Jeep. We are both very happy!

Curious as to what everyone is doing with their JT?

Many reasons, wanted better off-road performance than my GC Trailhawk, got tired of seeing all the cool upgrades the Wrangler guys could get and my wife brings too much stuff.

But most of all, I have wanted a serious off road pickup since I was a kid driving FJ40s. Now I have one equipped like a luxury car that'll go anywhere I'll ever want to go.

There are convertibles that'll hold a family but good luck carrying any luggage for a trip.

Or really even just enough crap for the kids sports game, lol. its laughable how much space any other convertible has.

After years of wishing, I finally ( in retirement) decided to get the motorhome I always wanted, but my 2002 Dodge Dakota - a great truck - was not easily towable. So I gave it to my son, then sold the Porsche 911 and the Charger, and bought the Gladiator. All 3 of those vehicles were great, and the JT is just as good as all 3 of them put together!
