I drive a '79 CJ5 at work, and to be perfectly honest I never bother looking at the speedo. I know how fast I'm going by the sound of the engine, the squirreliness of the steering, and the lightheadedness from the exhaust leak.I think what the op is referencing is having an option to turn the center infotainment screen into a rendering of the old CJ center dial that housed the speedo, turn signal and such.
I think that works be a cool Easter egg mode but from my experience driving a CJ it is always a bit distracting looking to the right and down to see the speed or what not.
I agree that it'd be a cool Easter egg, but ultimately just a novelty of something that's pretty useless anyways. But if it were there, I'd sure be grinnin'.
