How come it's so dead in here? I see at least 5-10 jeeps every day (about 2-3 being Gladiators) in my long 5 mile commute to and from work every day but not much posting going on in here. I feel like SoCal is full of people like us that love these things but am shocked that there's not more people on here posting the cool places they went or looking for people to do trails and such. I have a few friends that have Jeeps (and my girlfriend has a JL) that we like to go offroading and exploring and would love to see more of us out there and setting up meets and things on here in advance.

IMHO forums are a great way to communicate but takes a person willing to engage. For many they read but don't join, until they have a question or problem. I've been active with groups like this for RVs, ATVs, previous trucks, etc. Reddit and Facebook make it easier, but there isn't the depth of knowledge or the history IMHO. Glad you are here though!

When I lived in the greater Los Angeles area, Azuza Canyon in San Gabriel Valley was full of Jeep adventurers there's a 4x4 area up there.

True there’s not a lot of local get together on this forum. Definitely rides going on but none organized here. I find more action in the SoCal section of the wrangler forum for local rides.

I sometimes just get out on my own too.

You’re lucky you see that many….. some days, I don’t see any at all. A few Gladdy’s (if I’m lucky). I live in southern Pennsylvania where there are more Amish horse & buggies than there are Jeeps.

I don’t offroad, I don’t go camping, or overlanding…. My Gladdy just drives me places, drives me to the gun range, hauls the boat & yard waste.

Pretty boring for me to post any of that. 😆

I live in SoCal (San Fernando Valley) and I rarely see Gladiators on the street or parked.
But I see plenty of Wranglers. Tons of those!

When I do spot a Gladiator it really catches my attention. I think they are cool and unique looking.
I hope to buy one in the next few months.

I spend more time on the JL forums than here, and often wheel with the SoCal guys there. I own both JT and JL.

Yeah, my girlfriend has a JL but hates forums, lmao. I pretty much do all the forum lurking for the both of us. Maybe I'll create an account over there too. I hate having to keep up with both but I really want to start finding other people locally who want to go out and wheel.

Everyone is on the Facebook groups asking about the best ceramic coating, oil additives, and paint protection films.

Yeah I think the quick answer is "social media". I'm a Gen-Xer and I know we do have younger gens on here, but I think in general, the younger crowd looks to social media rather than online forums.

I tend to do most of my Activities by myself . No one I know wants to hang with me so it works out pretty good that way .
