So I was taking a look. The grille is one piece just like the pic I showed. The bottom and side surround trim piece is matching black. It looks like the only thing I would need to replace would be that trim piece in matching color.you’ll need to purchase a new grill and all the trim pieces to accomplish that. Your willys grill is all one piece

Guess I'm a little confused in the differences. I went on quadratec and with the satin grille it says for Sport model it requires two additional pieces. Both called grille surround molding. Guess the pics are deceiving. Grilles look the same.pop your grill out. If it’s got clips on the back side you can replace the edges but that looks like a black painted sport (one piece) grill to me
I think that aftermarket satin grill you can get body color trim pieces but out black grill on the Willys is all one piece. So if you ordered the trim pieces you would have to order a new grill too. It's not as simple as just getting trim pieces for our stock grillGuess I'm a little confused in the differences. So essentially I could not walk up to the parts counter and order that lower/side trim piece in Nacho and call it a day. Even if it was from a Sport.I think that aftermarket satin grill you can get body color trim pieces but out black grill on the Willys is all one piece. That is my understanding. I have heard that the trim piece on our current grill won't come off since it's all 1 piece but I'm not certain. I too would like to swap it out but that's further down my list of things to doSo essentially I could not walk up to the parts counter and order that lower/side trim piece in Nacho and call it a day. Ha! That's the video I watched too. He doesn't have a Willys so I wasn't sure how our grill isThis explained it a little better. I get it now. The trim pieces are attached to the grille. So as @TheSolarWizard said I would have to order the three trim pieces as well as a new grille. I'm guessing the trim pieces from higher models already painted would work. I'd have to weigh the cost difference between doing it this way, or painting the trim on the grille.
As @TheSolarWizard said it looks like the Willys grille a basic Sport grille.Ha! That's the video I watched too. He doesn't have a Willys so I wasn't sure how our grill is
knowing this I decided not to opt for the satin grill option on mine and I’ll be taping off the edges and doing satin black plasti dip on the center And leaving the rings around my headlights nacho. If that sucks but I like the look I’ll have it line xd when I do my bed and hard topAs @TheSolarWizard said it looks like the Willys grille a basic Sport grille.
I much prefer the satin grille. Do not like shiney black anything. The Sport S I ordered in Sting Gray before finding this one had the satin black grille. I too am considering getting it line-x coated. I can get that done for $100. Better than $400 for a new grille.knowing this I decided not to opt for the satin grill option on mine and I’ll be taping off the edges and doing satin black plasti dip on the center And leaving the rings around my headlights nacho.
