Wiring Organization

I have 3 aux switches running to the back for lights and the wiring is just out of hand. A lot of wires coming from the SPOD in the engine bay, going under the baseboard and around the bedrack.

How do y'all organize your wires? Do you do a junction box or something? I was thinking of putting a junction box behind the rear seat and run wires out the back.

Wire loom and zip ties. You can also electrical tape the wires together harness-style if they're going to the same destination. Routing them together in a planned manner is really the key. Be meticulous and plan out your runs.

A junction box is just adding yet another thing to your "mess". The wires will still all be there. The benefit of a junction box isn't really cleaning up the setup as much as it is giving you a more convenient disconnect point for the accessories. You can add one, but you're still going to have to deal with running the wires cleaner.

Yeah, for sure, it's almost like run the wires now or I'll end up running them later anyways

Best advice is similar to above: scope out the area and see what existing wiring you can latch onto. When I ran the wire for my rear led pod reflector replacements, I was able to zip tie the harness to an existing one that already runs the entire length of the truck - basically the thing that already sends power to the rear. Unless you're running something to the roof, there's a good chance wiring already exists.
