K & N has a nice, washable filter that I highly recommend.

Doesn’t look that bad but looks like it was doing its job.

It’s amazing how much dirt and dust they cut down on in the interior. What’s the recommended time on this just curious, I probably do mine to often at every other oil change so 10k miles

Not that bad really. Charcoal filter media makes it look more dirty than it really is.

was the K&N hard to put in? that looks incredibly hard to get in place. Given how difficult it is to put a flexible one like factory in...
The AFE carbon filter i put in was a pain in the Azz to put in.
Someone needs to slap the designers around a bit on this install.

One of our cars is a 2015 Equus. We bought it in 2018 with 30k miles. I bought a new cabin air filer for it last week, thinking 10 years is long enough. When I went to remove the old filter, there was no filter. We had driven 75k miles with no cabin air filter.

I got myself in the habit of changing (or at least checking) the cabin filters yearly - after seeing how nasty they looked after only a year in the previously owned Tacoma & Canyon. I checked the JT (after a year) and it looked surprisingly good. I’ll probably get some filters ordered anyway and just change it. $10-15 a filter (a year) is an easy maintenance cost to swallow.

I’ve thought about buying a ‘washable’ - and I’m still on the fence. Nothing about the filter itself (K&N is the only one that I know of), but all in the convenience & cost.

I washed my factory filter instead of throwing it out. I'll put it in at the next filter change and wash the one that is in there.

There‘s nothing wrong with doing that…..

I’d done that also, back when I owned the Tacoma. I think I got about 5 washings out of it before it started coming apart. With the Canyon…the OEM filter felt sooo cheap/flimsy, I didn’t bother trying to wash it. Any replacement I bought was also flimsy/cheap -that I stopped washing them.

Got a part number on the K&N
Nope but if you go to the K & N website and type in Cabin air filter for jeep gladiator it'll jump right up! It's considered an easy installation and there's a pdf with the instructions online as well.
