Yet another goodbye

In over 35 years of owning Jeeps a Couple things always ring true. Once a Jeeper always a jeeper, more smiles per mile and like Lays potato chips you can’t just have one. We’ll see you again on the trail down the road. You never forget your Jeep or the freedom it gave you. The reminders will be all around you when one goes by with an open top. Congrats! I think Ram is by far the nicest interior in a 1/2 ton truck. That’s a pretty tight garage fit, maybe get one of those little hanging ball things so you know when to stop? I had to do that with my F250, which fit with about 6” to spare.

what are you towing with it? I absolutely LOVE my JT. But I also know that in the next couple years Ill likely end up with a full size. im hoping to have this JT paid off by then.

Lol, it isn’t. But it’s more ideal than taking two cars. We have two daughters and we always find our selves doing something where they want to both bring a friend. Having the middle seat works great for that. My younger daughter loves the front middle seat. She has control of the stereo. The back seat holds three people no problem. It’s huge.

I found myself missing my Silverado when it came to the extra seat when you fold up the armrest in the front. That’s where my dog would ride with a fully loaded cab including the wife and two daughters and all of our stuff. This weekend trip I actually took the dog to my parents house before we left because I didn’t have any room to spare, and my wife didn’t want to ride with her on her lap for 3 hours. Other than that, I haven’t had a single regret or issue with my Gladiator.

oh yeah, I’m already day dreaming about my next Jeep. I think I’m the future I’ll try and keep the full size truck and have a jeep as my daily. I just can’t afford that at the moment.

Im towing a grey wolf 26dbh. 6k dry. I was maxing out my jt with it. I wouldn’t load it with much and always kept the tanks dry. Now I can actually bring everything I want, like a portable smoker. It’s less stress for sure. I held the change off for a long time because I love the jt.

I considered a power wagon. But I wouldn’t fit in my garage and didn’t need all that tow capacity. Plus I couldn’t afford it. Lol.

The Gladiator gets discussed as a "best of all worlds" truck, but in reality it's tight and peculiar and not right for everyone at every stage of their lives. If you need a big, powerful, luxurious, comfortable ride, the Ram fits the bill great and is a reasonable value in today's wacko market. The V8 is a loveable engine too. Have fun and let us know when you're back. I don't suspect it will be long.

Hey everyone,
This has been the best vehicle forum I have ever been a part of. So, instead of going quietly into the night, like usual, I wanted to say thanks to all the great folks and moderators. I learned a ton here and had quite a few laughs. I can never resist the enjoyment of a dumpster fire thread. And there’s been a few here to enjoy.

I really didn’t want to sell my gladiator but I needed more tow capacity and one extra seat, 5 vs 6. So I got a ram 1500. It’s not as exciting but it is a pretty nice truck. And it fits in the garage. I already added a flowmaster muffler to it and have a list of mods for it. I just can’t leave things stock.

My friend got one of these. At speed passenger door loses compression and creates crazy vacuum noise, fixed by opening the window . I also not sure about Gladiator being a 5 seater, maybe for a very short ride with very small people. I am about to have this problem as my kids are growing up. Never the less your decision to go to a bigger truck is logical, I think it sux that Jeep does not make a truck in 150 range. I personally would make the switch as well but parking these in the city is even a greater pain, there is no manual transmission and they are not convertible. With that said, once I move out of the city I will be getting full size truck and perhaps a 2 door beat around jeep. In anycase the Gladiator introduced me to pickups and now I cannot imagine not having one.
