Your first Jeep photos?

By reading this forum for a couple of months, it's clear that many of us have been in the Jeep family for many years, maybe a lifetime. For me, one of my first vehicles in high school was a 1953 M38-A1 Navy surplus Jeep (I grew up in San Diego), then in 1973 I bought a brand new CJ-5 (258 ci straight 6) for $3500.00 (how times have changed). I had the CJ for 15 years, rebuilt the engine once and new clutch. That's all in 15 years. Don't remember the mileage. I used it for my PhD dissertation field work all over the US Southwest and northwest Mexico. Never a problem.

I've attached images of those two Jeeps. Post yours if you still have them, and let's see them. I've ordered a JTR, in part, due to this nostalgia.

In 1970 (I think) after coming home from Vietnam out in Corte Madera, east San Diego County after a large fire. 1953 M38A1 with a Buick V-6, 10-ply tires.

My brand new 1973 CJ-5. Later put on 15X8 rims with a positive set back, aluminum top, and Warn winch. Otherwise kept it stock for 15 years. Rebuilt the 258 ci straight six and the clutch once. That's all, other than u-joints and PM.

This is a great thread. Lots of nostalgia here. Here's my first Jeep (CJ7, 1976 Levi Edition). I'm in the picture at the age of 12. Dad gave me the Jeep for my 16th birthday. Loved that thing.

I didn't take many pictures of my other Jeeps, but here's the 2005 Rubicon (with my wifey and one of my sons):

It’s a short list, but I was only old enough to get my license about the same time the TJ was rolling off the assembly line. If I can add in my wife’s list of a ‘13 JKU, ‘16 Compass, and now a ‘19 Grand Cherokee.

Well, I've had several over the years...first one was a 1995 Cherokee Sport. First Pic, not mine but an exact replica.

Then a bunch of Grand Cherokees, the only pics I have are of my '08 Overland Hemi, then my '19 GC Ltd. and Gladiator.

I miss my '96 GC Laredo I-6 the most...ran that puppy to over 240K miles. Donated to charity because of electrical issues. Still ran awesome and didn't burn oil and the trans was still tight.
