I just got into Jeeps. So my first Jeep is a 2021 Jeep Willys JL.

You can catch an illness at any time, it's never too late.

Gotta ask - do you have a neighbor kid named Dennis?
(we'll see how old he is by if he gets it or not)

I'm sure there's ones of me as a kid with the Wagoneer and the CJ5 that were in the family, but I don't have those

The first Jeep I bought is this one

I just spent the last hour looking for other pictures and the only one I could find is when it got broken into while I was surfing. This was a good truck, I put 120k miles on it and it brought both kids back from the hospital

I think this was my second CJ7. It was an ‘83 and this picture was around ‘93.
I lovingly “restored” it with 12 cans of Tremclad cherry red, applied outside on a windy day ?.
In those days you really had to love Jeeps to own them, or be some sort of glutton for punishment. I had 3 different CJ7’s over the years....and they were all a bit mechanically “quirky” ?

My first Jeep was this CJ7. I bought it from a lady at work for $500 after her son rolled it. All it needed was a new soft top and some new paint. Don’t have the Jeep any more but I do still have the same wife and daughter. ?

Wish I could find a picture of my first jeep, a 1983 CJ-7. Had several TJ's and one Grand Cherokee over the years. This was my second Jeep, a '97 TJ, photo circa 1997 on a trip out west with my Dad. Best thing about a jeep is the adventures we were able to have and the places we went on that trip. It just wouldn't have been the same in any other vehicle. I got to spend nearly a month with just my Dad off-roading and camping.

That’s so much of what this is all about for me too. I would love to have had such an amazing experience with my Dad.

I too can’t find a picture of number one. It was a 1974 CJ5 with the 304 V8. Not the best vehicle for a 16 year with no driving experience and too much confidence!

Number two was a 1983 CJ8 that I really wish I still had. Bought it after my first year of being a seasonal firefighter.

Number 3 was a 2006 LJ. Did very well as an investment as I sold it for $2000 over what I bought it for. Only sold it after buying number four.

Number 4 is a 2021 JTRD that you will have to pry from my cold dead hands. Unless they offer it in Chief Blue. Gladys only gets driven once a week. She takes me to the beach every Friday. My retirement gift/project from an overly supportive wife after 35 years in the fire service and two back surgeries.

This is "FiFi" my 88 cherokee. I bought it around 25 years ago, and did a restoration on it. It was my daily driver for years, and three jeeps later, I still have it...and I'm doing another resto on it right now....
I once drove it through a small tornado (THAT was fun...) and it was our recovery vehicle when I had a rocketry club.

Update: I just finished a simple restoration, some body work, a little paint, mechanical stuff. The above pictures were from March of 2001, here it is today 21 years later...

That's a cool image. 500 bucks. You'll never get a deal like that again.

Yes, well, it was a great price to buy it but in true Jeep owner fashion, the purchase price was just the gateway to more spend. It got a lot more expensive right after that. ?
