Now i have both the mopar and the bestop covers.

The beatop cover covers more of the door well, but not as good on the rear windows
bar.

The mopar covers the rear window great, but doesn’t go all the way to the bottom of the doors.
I do that too!

Lockable compartments under the rear seat are an option you can order, I have them. I assume you can order the parts and DIY, it would be a super simple install (4 bolts, maybe 15 min). There are other aftermarket companies that sell lockable bins as well. I like the Mopar ones are matched to my key and the openings match the 60/40 split. I don't have my Jeep with me today so i can't take a picture, but let me know if you'd like to see one and I'll post it tonight.
I wouldn't mine seeing photos when time permits.

I guess i was originally thinking someone would come up with a way to lock the seat itself into position vs. an actual container. Wouldn't be 100% theft proof, just making it hard to simply pop the seat up.

If talking rain ....can’t help you there. We never get any here in AZ.

Storage ...remember this. IF someone wants something in your Jeep, they will find a way.

When she’s naked, I remove anything of high value out of Gladis.

I have been using Rain gear cover and its great top. But your not storing it under or behind your seat. Maybe in bag in bed of truck if you have cover. I also have a cheapy Walmart cover that is somewhat waterproof in light rain that packs up small and can be thrown on it quick time. Lately I have been using it more to keep the blazing sun off my truck in this heat down here. The sun is quickly taking its toll on the top but it didn't cost that much. I have it on my truck right now at work as I haven't had the doors on in months. Just FYI though I ride around a lot in Safari mode when its hot out since I have the soft top and can just put it up or down quickly

Sorry to add on to this, but can anyone comment on how long it takes to set up / take off? Being in FL I just never thought of this and just planned on parking in my garage and only driving when there isn't any rain.

So you only drive 15 minutes a day?

Sorry I had to ask.... ;)

Rugged Ridge Savanah brief top https://ruggedridge.com/p/savannah-black-diamond-brief-top/ for the daily and random showers. Allows me to quickly remove for nice days I want completely topless and RainGear cover for heavy rain downpours.

The nice things about rain gear is you can use it with the hardtop on and doors off whereas the mopar cover only works well with top off. Youll have a gap at the bottom with the roof on.
