Air Freshener Reccomendations

No chemicals in my truck to mask a smell by introducing even more powerful chemicals into the air to cover up the other odor.
"Air fresheners" don't freshen anything. They mask chemically. They are a lie, false advertising.
The reason they don't last is because their chemical is gone into the air - and the air has been exchanged many times while what is causing the original odor is still in the truck.
The "air freshener" spews chemicals into the air, the air gets exchanged with outside air over and over and so the chemicals from that thing are gone while the source of the odor is still in the truck. They are odor maskers, not fresheners.
I told my wife to skip the fancy dryer sheets, too - they spew even more chemicals into the air we breathe - they only mask odors be putting out a stronger odor humans will accept.

I wonder if one of those cabin filters that has a carbon component to it might help actually remove the odor producing chemical from the air - and truly freshen it?
Baking soda is a trick used in refrigerators for decades - it actually absorbs the odor causing molecules. So I'd shoot for a carbon filter and/or baking soda.

Try this. Literally let your car run for 15minutes with circulation/air condition. Turn car off and let machine run for a couple hours. It literally smells like fresh rain in your car

I intend no offense, but if someone smokes inside a vehicle, the inside of that vehicle reeks. No amount of air freshener can change that. I know it's a very controversial and delicate subject. Over the years smokers have yelled at me and called me a liar. I get it. They can't smell it. If people want to smoke, that's their business. But sheesh, don't call me a liar when you and your vehicle smell like an ash tray.

One buddy of mine would use the Christmas trees when things got bad. He stopped at the house to show me his new truck. He had a 3 trees hanging from the mirror. He wanted me to drive it. He jumps in the passenger side. As I'm climbing into the truck. He lets out a big old nasty fart. I get into the drivers seat and look at him. I said "WTF you do? Shit out a Christmas tree?" The smell between the 2 was awful.

Wifey has a friend that puts unlit candles in her car to make it smell better. Wonder if she ever thought about using this candle.

That is a really good idea with none of the chemicals.

I’ve never used any air scent products. I just give my vehicles a nice deep clean a few times a year and it seems to keep any bad smell away.
but to answer, I’ve heard people use those scent bombs in vehicles where people smoke and have reported positive results. I would try and clean the vehicle first. There is a reason for the bad smell, and a good steam clean or cleaning of surfaces may fix this vs trying to mask it

Actually got them today. The stripper is a vanilla like scent, one that my old lady might think I gave some chick a ride. The glazed donuts is a nice scent as well. Spraying the stripper scent this evening to see how long it lasts.

Freshwave makes an odor eating pack, they start off with a scent of their own, all natural ingredients, and when they stop having a smell of their own, the vehicle or wherever you put them doesn't smell either. Got rid of the cig stench in my Patriot after cleaning everything failed.

The stripper scent never last as long as you would like, one or two songs and you have to pay I mean spray again
