Since I’ve had my Mojave, a full tank of gas I average usually 17.3. Pretty bummed it’s not higher, but driving 75mph on a highway back and forth from work really shows how the brick really is.

I've got a stock Rubi with a winch. I average 17.8-18.1. Looks like a lift and bigger tires might improve my mileage.

Yeah. Most of my trips are rural two lanes at 60 and small towns with a handful of lights.

I have a stone stock Overland and average around 20 (+/- 0.2) mpg bopping around (mixed driving).

I have seen 27 (+/- 0.3) mpgs straight highway at 70 mph, and an average of 13 (+/- 0.5) mpg towing my 27', ~5,100 lb (with all the stuff we want or need to take with us) travel trailer. All mileages calculated fill to fill and the VIC is close to the calculated values...sometimes a little higher but close.

So, with all your added weight, you're not doing too to shabby.

I think the more important questions is... is YOUR mileage ok? Doesn't matter what we think of it, as long as you're ok with footing the gas bill that's all that matters. My wife gets 13.8 on 35s but never gets on a freeway. I'm perfectly fine with that.

That’s a good amount of extra weight. That’s also not a “fuel economy is a priority” setup. I’d take that fuel economy if that’s your desired setup, OP.

Try different cruising speeds. If fuel economy is a priority. For me…right around 70-72 MPH is the sweet spot, as far as still moving along at a decent clip and not adversely impacting fuel economy.

Trucks in general are bricks. It was the same story for my old Ram 1500. If I was in a hurry on a particular day, I’d roll at 75 MPH or so and be lucky to get ~17.5 MPG. If I was taking a trip and trying to stretch out a tank of fuel, I’d keep it in the 68-72 MPH range. At 68 MPH, it would actually exceed the EPA fuel economy rating.

I find it fun to watch how much you can increase the current MPG if you roll up behind a semi on the highway, you can watch it go from mid teens to mid 20’s the closer you get to the back of it. Would it be frowned upon if you just bump draft the back of a semi to get 29mpg the whole way to work? ?
