Ok ok, yes this is my first forum post, but not a newb looking at schematics etc. I DLd the wiring diags and IPB, but cannot find anything.other than the ENTIRE harness
68405606AD

I am trying to find part numbers for the male & female connectors on the dome light or on harness leading up to the dome light. I am trying to make a pigtail, so I can connect and disconnect the Hooke Road roof rack and installed lights as well as not cut into the factory wiring.
Our local dealership looked at me like I had 3 heads and said they don't have part numbers for any connectors...guess they are screwed if they break one diagnosing an issue, or he's an a$$hat.

ANY help is appreciated

Your dealership has a bunch of idiots if they do not know their own resource for getting repair end pigtails for wire harnesses.

Just be warned, some of these pigtail repair kits can be pretty pricey for what they are and you may want to see if you have a salvage yard 'Pick n Pull" you can access to get your own salvaged cut pig tail from.

It’s not clear on the web site - do these repair kits include both male and female connectors but only display one side of connection?
thx

The 2nd link he gave says it's for the pair. If you take the part number on that page and go to a MOPAR parts site you can get the cost. But the part number is for a matched pair.

Generally for most components, it is only going to show the harness side as the component it connects to is going to be the other side and that is already built in.

The only connection points that are going to show a male and female side are harness to harness connection points.

In the OP's case, the next connector back from the dome light is XY315A and the above mention website shows both the male and female connectors listed.

The thing to keep in mind when using this tool is you have to actually physically know which side of the connector you are looking at and know the pin out and not get them reversed or you can order the wrong side by mistake.

It helps to have the OEM wiring diagrams and the reference designator for what you are trying to find. Just going into a dealership and trying to verbally say what you want without the reference designator is going to waste a lot of time. Sure, they should know how to look it up but like anything at the car dealership, any mistake costs you time, not them.

There is no matched pair, the other side is the built in connector on the dome light.

Edit: The link for the connector shows two views of the same connector, front and back side, not the male/female of said connector.

Yeah, I was hoping to find a harness matched pair, but it appears to be one looooooong harness up to the dome light :(

Might want to look into Weather Pack type connector kits and just fab your own disconnect. Will mean splicing into the harness but if done right, just as good as OEM.

Plenty of Weather Pack connector kits on Amazon and the crimp tool needed for them. Not that hard once you do a couple of practice crimps on the pins.

They went to a new domain:

https://connectorrepairkit.mopar.com/

For some reason, some Gladiators model years are not listed on the drop down and you may have to go to another year or use the Wrangler JL.
