Good! What was your lead time on the back ordered parts?Mine goes in tomorrow for the repair. Wish me luck.
I was told a week…I think it’s been a month ?Good! What was your lead time on the back ordered parts?
Same for me, fixed last fall and no issues since.Mine was replaced over a year ago with no issues since then
There has been a few with a second leak on the right side. Some that had a 3rd leak, had the whole diff replaced.Hi Guys!
Got a Rubicon Gladiator running 39's with a 4" Evo kit and Yukon 5:13's. Yes, I know all the cons about running big tires on stock axles however I don't off road much in this Jeep! My question is this, has anyone had a second leak? I replaced right rear axle about 6 months ago (10k miles) and just saw that the new one is now leaking again (15k miles) You could argue tire/axle on the first leak BUT same one for the second as well! Anyone else? Dealership is worthless btw as soon as they see tires! Thoughts?
Warranty company? Then you aren't operating under the MOPAR warranty, you have a service contract they sell as a "warranty".Wondering if anyone else has had this experience:
Just took my Gladiator in to have them verify the axle seal leak. They told me they ordered the replacement seal - not the axle assembly, because the warranty company wants them to try replacing just the seal first. Again, this is the right rear seal that is leaking.
I haven’t purchased any additional warranty. That’s why I questioned what the service advisor was saying. I haven’t heard of anyone else just having the seal replaced. I’m hoping @JeepCares can help with this.Warranty company? Then you aren't operating under the MOPAR warranty, you have a service contract they sell as a "warranty".
Those outfits cuts costs by doing it this way "let's see if this cheap way works first".
The dealers have to call the "warranty company" to get approval to do anything.
The problem is they can't replace only the seal - it will mean replacing the bearing as well. And if they don't do that, refuse it. Never take a bearing off and put it back on.
