Well you inspired me! Ordered my set today!?. Have a question though. I have a ā21 Mojave that these are going on. I only drive it on the weekend to go mountain biking. Other than my bikes, I donāt haul or tow anything and no off roaring. Yes, purely a road queen. So my question is do I need to do any re-gearing or craziness like that or just put āem on and roll on?Just put them on today, and Iām very pleased
I was in the market for a skinny 35 and nothing seemed available. I was offered these Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T in 35X10 or 255/85R17 and Iām pleased with the ride quality, and road noise is now very acceptable. I was running Nitto Trail Grapplers in 35X11.5 but the road noise was more than I could take on my daily commute.

Back when i was in high school in South Jersey we ran on Denman Ground Hawgs. That was a seriously loud tire!Hope you like noise. As they wear down, they get noisy. Had a set years ago. Great off road and deep snow. Little iffy on light snow and ice. I'm looking at a set of IROK's.
LMAO......ohhhh yea. Had 38" Gumbo Mudders on my '76 Chevy. Had a set of 35" IROK's on my Power Wagon. They could put you to sleep in about 45 minutes at 70 mph.Back when i was in high school in South Jersey we ran on Denman Ground Hawgs. That was a seriously loud tire!
I wish i had got a set of them instead of 33x10.5x17s i got for good price and was sick of plugging and patching stock tires. Damn nails and road trash... ? At the time I didn't look for 35x10.5x17s but definitely should have I wanted the narrow width vs bro dozer "hydroplane specials". Standing water on roads sucks with wide tires.. IMHOThose look great! I'm in the same boat - wanted a mild upgrade that fits under the fenders. Very few options - Kenda Klever KR601 in 35x10.50R17 is how I went. Haven't wheeled w/ them yet, but on road noise is incredibly improved over the stock Willys BFG KM2s.

Fact(s).Standing water on roads sucks with wide tiresā¦
depends, if the snow is the right consistency to let your wide tires float on it then yes, otherwise pizza cutters will do a great job finding traction in the snow if you have the clearance and don't bottom out (this was at least the case on the landy)OFFROAD snow
Brother those things were one step away from a tractor tire!?Back when i was in high school in South Jersey we ran on Denman Ground Hawgs. That was a seriously loud tire!
Very correct ,with a noted thing about my JT. I'm not out trying JT in that mud it will stop and something that's on the trailer behind it comes off. For mud ect like that.... I've found that it's not for the rock crawling and like.. so use proper tool in proper job and place to still get home.Fact(s).
Wide tires are only better in BOTTOMLESS mud, SAND and/or OFFROAD snow.

Indeed! They were amazing in the mud, and of course we thought all that tire hum was cool. ??Brother those things were one step away from a tractor tire!?
Yep a good set of half bald Ground Hogs or Super Swampers on clapped out 4x4 pickup a School kids dream in 80s.Indeed! They were amazing in the mud, and of course we thought all that tire hum was cool. ??

I had Nitto Trail grappler M/T Itās the noise that got to me. I just couldnāt stand it 30km every morning and evening.Im with Falcon, over the roller skate look. Dont need them or see where the advantage would be, I guess if Im mud bogging all the time (not) or Im a Moab baby (its 2000 mi away) I dont get it. I will attempt to save the paint on the side of the truck and prob go with a 35x11.5 or maybe a 10. Still clinging to the MT's vrs the AT's, but I may get tired of the noise eventually ? also the weight factor. JMHO
