What did you type?why my new 2022 diesel whit 14.250 miles burn oil start on 5 k half qua at 10k one quart
This isn’t at you….. but the article.
I can tell you from personal experience that Mobil 1 puked out of my front/rear crank seals and puffed out the tail pipe on every shift or deceleration when run in my newer Suzuki Samurai engine, but switched back to Delo 15w40 and the leaks and smoking stopped? I later tried Amsoil ASL 5w30 and it did not leak or burn at all so I used it till I sold that vehicle? This isn’t at you….. but the article.
we have owned an abnormal amount of diesels…. Literally 5 are in the driveway right now…. And that’s just what we have in the driveway.
they all consume oil for a short period of time when breaking in.
How in the world is amsoil claiming their oil minimizes consumption…. ?. I’m calling BS and I like amsoil… CK4 oils haven’t been on the shelf in what 5? 10? Years?? Seems like a pretty crappy use of data to make a now pretty much irrelevant claim…
Aliens.I can tell you from personal experience that Mobil 1 puked out of my front/rear crank seals and puffed out the tail pipe on every shift or deceleration when run in my newer Suzuki Samurai engine, but switched back to Delo 15w40 and the leaks and smoking stopped? How could one explain that?
Honestly, I wouldn’t consider that to be too much, especially for a brand new motor. I would be more worried about fuel in the oil than loss of oil.im sorry at 5k burn almost half quart at 10k close to one quart
