Yeah I've seen this on here many times before.. pretty common.. apparently it's a tough love situation. No solve, letting the dealer fix it equates to them hitting it with a rattle can. and likely you could do a better job of controlling overspray on your own.

That's total BS. I wouldn't pay $60k just to have it show up from the factory like this. Unless they mark 20k off that price.... I would reject my order. I want to be the one adding scratches to it...

I’m in contact with jeep cares about it I purchased and had it delivered from out of state caught it the third day I got it after a week of rain stopped and got under to clean of road grime from shipping. I know it’s happened to some others as well but I wanted to pass along to other so they can catch it before it gets worse with winter and road salt coming. Also the welds are flaking pretty hard core and rusting looks like they weren’t prepped/cleaned well before paint.

I should be receiving my order this week. I am not sure what I will do if my order looks like this. I know I can do a better job than the dealer at fixing this, but for a $68k pricetag my order better not look like this. I plan on wheeling my JT so it will eventually look like this but that will be on my own time.

The correct fix is a rust converter and then Eastwood or the VHT paint.

If my order looks like this, I would try to get the dealer to knock off a couple $1000 off the purchase price. I think $8000 will do. That would put my TTL / overall price right at MSRP.

Did your dealer tell you why its 84 days in D1? Thats highly unusual. If I could I would look it up for you but I can't see into another stores' inventory and orders.

Mine has been in “scheduled” for 23 days but the dealership just told me it has a ship date of Jan 20th. The online tracker doesn’t even say it’s in production yet. I’ve got no idea what is accurate.

I’m told the delay is due to the Safety options and Mopar accessories that I ordered on my build.

Yes, I agree the safety groups, especially adaptive cruise has slowed things down.
