Made the mistake of purchasing a tazermini through forum member Gates007. Went on a cruise. Got home, no tazer…..search finds member banned “scammer”. Thought I did my due diligence in talking with them but apparently wasn’t quite diligent enough.

Had 2 scammers try and sell me tires. 1 shit me a couple of messages, the second was gone before I could even open my PM’s. Both are already banned. Friggen dirtbags.

Glad someone is booting these a-holes.

the new selling rules definitely help.

I think the best way to mitigate the chance of a scam is to ask for an invoice from PayPal stating what you are buying. Yes there will be a small fee but just agree to pay 5% more and have the peace of mind of not getting scammed.

That's what I do if it's someone I don't know or haven't bought from, or don't see a positive history of on a forum or fakebook. I'll pay the 3% or whatever it is to make sure they get their full price.
I also tend to save all communications and in the past it has helped me when I could send PP the emails back and forth and they could see exactly what they said and what I said, prices agreed to, and items being bought right in the emails.

These scammers are dirt bags. I had one try to get me on my granddaughters Christmas present a few yrs back. Sent the package by ups, the. I noticed for some reason the delivery was being sent to the wrong address in Kannapolis. Called UPS who were no help and said that the address it was going to was correct. Not sure what happened or how after the they confirmed my address and I got a tracking number for it to my address they were able to switch it to another person's address. Long story short I have a buddy who delivers for UPS who was able to look up the driver and we intercepted the package before it got delivered. It was a Ipad that someone was going to ship to another person and then get my money and then go pick up the iPad from the house it got delivered to. They went to great links to show me they were actually sending the iPad out. They got many ways today to scam you. I always try to over investigate everything nowadays. Sucks, hope your able to get your money back

Ive been very fortunate on here, but i feel like we’re seeing more and more of this. Very sad.

it’s harder on the forum’s but when ever I to craigslist deals i try to get the sellers name and address and find out who im dealing with. Or meet them at a police station.

the new marketplace rules i think will help.

I know another member already offered there tazer. I have a superchips flashcal ive been thinking of parting with since I use Jscan for everything. If you, or anyone is interested, let me know and Ill make a legit for sale post. Or post of ebay / offer up or something to ease any concerns.

Huh I’ve been looking at buying a tazer (time to bite the bullet since going bigger tires).
Was going to check the forum but I think I’ll just buy direct!

sucks when legit people get ripped off

FWIW I have a real ProCal Snap for sale if you’re interested. Post is in the classified and I have followed the forum rules in my post. If that isn’t enough for you, I’d gladly take a FaceTime call from anyone to prove it’s real and I’m not a scammer POS. ?
