They have a few options now that do not require a secondary tank
Not following this "require secondary tank" thing... mine is older, a 400p, and totally self contained. These ARBs require tanks?

Is this just for people who want air tools on trail? I just want to mount my ViAir under the seat :)

Many of the ViAir compressor require a tank or one of their new manifolds with pressure switch. The version you have is self-contained and is just a constant air flow compressor with built-in pressure switch, so no tank is required. You can remove the base and reinstall the two feet on the compressor to the side and it should bolt down to our Under Seat Compressor Mount.

Awesome. Hopefully it work with the Armorlite. It's thick. Would I just need the " Air Kit for ARB Single Compressor" and Air Only Rail for the chuck? I'd be using the factory Aux switch. Hoping that ARB option will give the ViAir everything it needs.

Is there any reason to go straight to battery if a 40A Aux Lead is available? I am not seeing a need for a relay.

Message me directly with your shipping and email address and I can put together a kit with all the parts you need, along with an air only seat rail plate if you don't need the switch on the rail. I think you will be ok with the Armorlite since the ViAir is shorter than an ARB twin when mounted.

Will do, trying to decide which version of the underseat locking base I want. When I do i'll followup!

I'm guessing this makes a bye-bye to the under seat climate air vent?
The vent is still about 2-3" from the compressor. It may block true flow of heat/cooling a bit to the rear floor area. On a positive note, it is set to perfectly blow cool air into the fans of the ARB when running. Some of the mounts on the market require you to cut the vent and/or the carpet. With our mount you only need to trim the rear floor mat. I don't believe any of the under seat mounts on the market are going to prevent trimming the rear mat since the mat goes under the seat some beyond the rear seat mounting points.

the ARB twin needs more power than the 40 amp line will handle. It needs to have two power wires connected directly to the battery (i think they are 30 amp fuses each, one for each 'side' of the compressor)

If you go with a smaller compressor, like an ARB single, you MIGHT be able to get away with the single 40amp aux line, BUT keep in mind the amp draw depends on different factors such as compressor load and battery voltage, so you might still spike over 40

Current draw goes up with pressure too. Viair shares pressure vs air flow rate vs current draw on their web pages, for instance:
https://www.viaircorp.com/portables/440p
This larger one (maybe on par with an ARB single) is fused at 50A, draws 36A at 10psi, 40A at 30psi, up to a max of 44A at 70psi (not very relevant for most Jeeps, maybe for tow rigs though)

Would be nice if ARB ould share the same kind of data. Can't imagine why anyone cares what the no-load power draw is, thanks ARB:

I've got a Viair... it connects to battery but has a 40a inline fuse that has never blown. Should be good?

@813 Fabrication & Design, I'm working on my install of the dual ARB and getting the compressor mounted to the bracket and setup. The instructions provided didn't have any guidance on how the elbow fitting should be clocked for connecting the air line from the air kit, pictures here show it should be facing forward with the ARB manifold rotated to the side. When I do this and thread in the elbow fitting, there is not enough space to attach the braided air line that came with the kit. the elbow is not tightened extremely tight and while I could add a significant amount more of thread tape, I figured I'd get your thoughts. Is this the recommended orientation for clearance and hose routing to go to the seat rail air location? This will be installed on the drivers side.

Hey, sorry if the instructions were not thorough enough. With the position you have the 90° fitting the air line should fit. I wonder if there is variation with the black casing with the compressors from the factory? In one photo from my testing I am using the ARB air line and not the GRIMM air line, but the ends are the same size. You can somewhat she the orientation from the other photo that another customer sent with it on the Driver side in the forward position. I do know from testing that if you clock the manifold down too far it will make it too tight for the air line but looking at your photo it doesn't seem that you have it turned to the lowest position. Let me know if that is helpful. - Jeremy

As an update, I ended up attaching the braided line to the elbow with it turned 90deg counterclockwise so there was room for the nut on the line to spin. Then I tightened it the last 90deg and used a wrench to rotate the manifold and fitting down to the lower position.
