2022 Overland EcoDiesel: will be running 37x13.5 on these and will be a pavement princess for 90% of its life except when carrying the tent and running the beach.

I need a lift that will still give me a really good factory ride but without having to change everything underneath that it ends up being a 8-10k lift. Is 3.5” good or will I have to get a new drive shaft? Or how high can I go before I have to change all that?

lastly, JKS 3.5” or can I go with a 5” lift? Suggest a brand please… thank you.

5" of lift on a gladiator is honestly pretty crazy

A true 3.5 you will need a drive shaft sooner rather than later. 3" is about the max lift you can go with out needing a drive shaft assuming you are planning on flexing it. The point of a lift is to fit your tires, unless you're going 40s all you need is something like the Clayton 2.5 or mc 3.5 to get you about 3" in the front.

Whoever you go with, make sure they have diesel specific lifts as the spring rates need to be much higher to handle the hundreds of pounds of extra weight upfront.

I am also upgrading to steel bumpers. So yes definitely more weight. Not doing any crazy flexing. I’m in NE florida. There ain’t much of that going on here. I tow a flats boat, a light camper and might go to the beach… but definitely a pavement princess. Thanks for the advice. And yea, 37s is the biggest I’m going.

As far as I know JKS doesn't have a diesel lift. Clayton, Rock Krawler, AEV

Factory like ride for a pavement princess + great bang for buck (if found at the right price) sounds like you’re wanting the Mopar lift to me. Add an adjustable track bar for peace of mind, but I don’t have one and don’t need it. I wheel fairly frequently, nothing has really challenged the rubicon, but about once or twice a month and it’s held up good for the last two months. Labor and parts, you should be into it about $2,000.

all that crazy talk of a 5” lift…whoa.. I got by this whole time in a 22’ Overland Diesel with a 78 dollar 2.5” spacer up front and nothing else. That’s with steel bumper and winch. I’m going 3” rear and 4.5” front next week because I plan to wheel it a little harder this year.

But to get the bare bones minimum of what you’re asking for… you can level it for almost free and retain all factory ride feeling. Just an option.
