I am trying to do a Grimm off-road Arb dual compressor install and can get the bracket and the compressor to fit with my flacon 3.3 piggy back shocks. On Northridge 4x4 it says they are compatible but I can’t make it work. The compressor hit the piggy back and I can’t align the holes of the bracket. For those who have done it, is there a special trick to get it done?

thanks

It's a tight fit, but it will go, we had about a 1/4" clearance on the one we did.
Unfortunately on mine, there is zero clearance and I can't get it to go. Not sure what the difference is.

Maybe Buy some cheap burrs and see if you can open up the holes and slide it enough to make it fit? I am in the process of removing the twin compressor and mounting the arb air locker activation system after modding the Grimm bracket. With the twin all the options for inner fenders I liked would not fit ?

Finally was able to install it. Had to move the top of the Falcon by unscrewing the top bolt. Once did that, it was easy…..

Which ones do you like?

These are the ones we know fit:
  • Stock Inner fenders
  • Road Armor Stealth Inner Fenders (Current diesel compatible version only)
  • Evo Inner Fenders
  • DV8 Inner Fenders
There may be others, those are the ones Grimm has confirmation on.

Grimm will be releasing their own inner fenders soon and yes, they will work with their compressor bracket.

Thank you for the information. I ended up going with the Artec falcon vented fenders. Wanted the best fit and protection money can buy for the shocks I run. The ARB air activation system can be swapped into the Grimm bracket with a little work and makes plenty of room to install any inner fenders I like.

 happy to see you got it installed! Its a really cool kit I have gotten a lot of use out of it the past 18 months. Also pretty surprised by how clean my twin staid with plenty of mud and water out on the trails.

thanks!!Appreciate the note about the shock. Overall I am happy with the way it turned out and where I ended up with the hose coupling.

I like that you took the time to mount it like that. Not having the open the hood is a little thing but it all adds up over time. Kinda thought it was silly to mount the air filter up high but then expose them during fill ups ?
