Max Tow Differential

Command trac is just the standard "basic" 4WD transfer case.

The Trac Lok limited slip was not standard in the max tow package on early JTs (2020s). It became standard later on in the max tow package though.

Not only that, it wasn't even available as an option when I bought my JT in November 2019. All there was then was the open differential.

Command-Trac and Selec-Trac have nothing to do with differentials - it's only the transfer case, as you stated.
Nothing is part of the Command-Trac "package" because it's not a package, it's a transfer case, the base model t-case.

I was looking at my 2020’s window sticker and don’t see anything about the diff?

LSD wasn't available in max tow in 2020 - at least not for the first half of the model year, maybe all of the 2020 MY.

You're right. I dug deeper and it shows on my sticker it is an Anti-Spin diff. Which I believe is different than the Limited Slip Diff.

I have a 21’ Gladiator Diesel. It’s an absolute BRUTE. I’m a GC and I have literally hauled major weight (12k) and just had soft brakes.

Nope, they are one in the same. Looks like it was an option at the time yours was ordered and it was added in addition to the max tow package.

No, it's the same thing. They are all generically called "limited slip". Jeep and others just use different marketing terms and buzz words.

Under OPTIONS -

It's still LSD. - Limited Slip, same thing, different term. AMC used still another word for it, GM uses another - "positraction", AMC was twin grip.

Ah, here's others - all "LSD" or limited slip differentials (varying mechanics inside, but still LSD)
Ford – Traction-Lok
Chevy Positraction
Amc Twin Grip
Pontiac Safe T track
Chrysler Sure grip

Then it was added as an option later in the 2020 model year. Prior it wasn't even an option and like you have also said - it's not part of the Command-Trac.

I bought my 2020 in late Feb. 2020....

Mine was a special order build with a March 2020 build date and I was able to get Max Tow which included limited- slip.

Yes, that's late in the model year.
Like I said "at least not for the first half of the model year" then of course first half is a moving target depending on when they start a given model year.

Open diffs sometimes leave 2 black marks and Trac Lok diffs sometimes only spin 1 tire.
