I've never understood the hate on the keyfob. Maybe because I don't wear skinny jeans and have man sized pockets in my shorts/jeans? Not sure, but never an issue at all.
For a little comparison, my wallet and keyfob are in my left pocket and the two together take up less space than my phone in my right pocket.

My key fob in holster compared to the tools my father carried every weekday for his job -

Compared to WK2 - is it that different? Some, not much ->

No reaching into pocket! Even better than a smaller fob- it's easily used without digging. And you can lock it into the holster to prevent the key from being used - valet parking thing.

No way I'll go back to a fob in the pocket, no matter the size.

Bro, I wear cargo pants, cargo shorts, and dad jeans... I still hate how big the OEM fob is

Agreed. like jesus, doesn't anyone remember those fucking JK keys? This key fob is the only thing in my front pocket and it's glorious, no other keys hanging on it.

The suck on this one is the key release always deploying the leg-stabber in my pocket. Most of those designs eliminate the key but I need it because I lock away dangerous items away from my kids in my center console.

Rubber band, or remove the spring. Easy to fix.

I too went with a @Threedom fob. I kept 1 stock in case I trashed the one I was taking apart. I believe they now have a service in which they will swap it out for you. Can't find that thread ATM. I have the @Threedom model "M". Here was my original review: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/threedom-we-would-really-❤-to-hear-from-you.86408/post-1875449
HERE is that thread! ?Threedom’s White Glove Fob Swap! ? | Jeep Wrangler Forums (JL / JLU) - Rubicon, Sahara, Sport, 4xe, 392 - JLwranglerforums.com

I put one of the silicone cases on mine. Eliminated about 90% of the unwanted openings, without modifying the FOB.

LOL, another I hate this fob thread.
I use a holster, problem solved. I'll never put a fob in my pocket again, even if I had a smaller one, after using a holster.
Can you please post a pic or link to such a holster?
Edit: Sorry, never mind, you already did :)

Same... though I think mine is TPU. It makes it slide in/out of my pocket easier too. Yes, it's definitely large, but not so large that I feel I need to drop $40 (or whatever) for a very slightly smaller aftermarket one. I keep my phone in my left pocket, key fob in the right... nothing else. It's just not a problem for me.

I wish Jeep had an option like Land Rover’s activity key. A rubberized bracelet that’s shock and water proof. No need to carry a key at all.
