Seriously can't wrap my head around this! Less than 200 miles and I have a coolant leak. After I've checked everything I honestly think the water pump has gone bad. Doesn't leak when im driving however when parked over night I wake up to a small puddle just under the front diff.

Guess ill have to take it back to the dealership! Anyone have this similar issue?

I heard the diesels had massive coolant issues but never heard anything about the 3.6 if anyone has any insight please feel free to chime in, Ill get it to the dealership in the next day or so when I get off work.

Just following the dried coolant trail. it looks to be a very slow leak from behind the water pump pulley.
I pressure tested the system and found no leaks, it also doesn't leak while driving, only after its been parked and has cooled down does it start to have a very slow drip. Coolant leak over night is about the size of 2 quarters on the ground.

Just got off the phone with jeep I have an appointment at 10am to have it checked.

Gotcha, well that's annoying AF.

Sounds like defective seals in the waterpump and the weep hole is doing its job

Definitely Annoying as F**K hopefully it doesn't get any worse between now and when they diagnose it to confirm and replace if needed.

Update! Jeep agreed it is a faulty water pump and had to order one. It arrived the next day however they can not install it until later this week.

However when I took my jeep in to get it looked at and they did whatever they did to determine it was the water pump they forgot to hook back up my electrical connection for the intake which I am assuming is the Intake air temp sensor and they also forgot hook back up the pct tubing connection. Good thing I checked before I left the dealership....

Do kids work on these jeep behind closed doors?

Flat rate. The techs get paid .25 - .5 hours to diagnose an issue. Cutting corners to stay within rate is an unwanted side-effect.

frickin flat rate. I didn’t like to be rushed when I was a tech…. When we went flat rate about half the guys liked it. Those guys? The half assers (and those with expensive addictions, gamblers, drinkers, tattoo guys etc).
They went from doing nothing to doing crappy jobs on tons of stuff.

Initial quality… it’s a thing. Most of your problems will be under 5000 and over 75000 miles. We used to find TONS of stuff wrong from the factory during prep. We missed a lot I’m sure. American made stuff needs intensive qc it seems. No one pays for it anymore. Same reason i tell people an American made Toyota ain’t the same.

I left the flat rate world for over the road HD diesel repair. The repair takes as long as I say it takes as you’re paying for a job done right the first time.

I’ve been to the dealer 4 times since October. They replaced my warped head(driver side) at 40k miles in November. Got it back with an oil leak from work they performed. Took it back jan 2nd, they replaced valve cover gaskets and that wasn’t it, still leaking. Took it back 2 weeks ago for the leak and I’m still smelling burning coolant at exhaust. It misfired while they had it so they replaced the other head now and just got it back today. Was missing a foam instead under the hood, coolant was low, and power steering wasn’t topped off like I had requested. These mechanics are ridiculous. I get worried every time they touch my truck. I’m going to be monitoring everything like a hawk for a while. I hope it’s all good now. 40k miles it was great until this warped head issue. These mechanics causing all these other headaches. I’m crossing fingers all is good now. P.S is your power steering fluid green?
